Staff were courteous and helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast fine with hot foods available. Upholstery in room was worn and frayed, TV did not work properly and pool/hot tub were down for maintenance for the last month (ok for us, but there were some pretty disappointed parents with children).

We booked a king suites room a week before arrival. But when we check in they don’t have what we booked. The staff told me they are fully booked because we booked with Expedia and that’s what they have for us. Very disappointed, room is out dated and not clean. Especially the bathroom, floor tiles are broken, dangerous for kids to stay in.

We came to Mattoon to celebrate Thanksmas with my wife's side of the family. We stayed 2 nights in the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Our room was clean and looked fine. They served a free hot breakfast which was good. Everything went well.

This is a great family friendly hotel. We found the accomodations to be quite adequate and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The included breakfast was hot and delicious. If you didn't get enough to eat it was your own fault. Everything was kept stocked.

Staff very accommodating! Got our family adjoining rooms (with me a nice handicap accessible one!). Was very pleased with breakfast ( I’m big fan of sausage gravy and biscuits, and you had it, wonderful!). Kitchen lady so nice, too. Great stay- thanks so much.
