La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Effingham

My stay atbLaQuinta Effingham was good. The front desk staff was very helpful. I have 2 small fur babies. They were very comfortable there. The staff treated my little one very well, which is important to me. The room was clean and comfortable.

La Quinta in Effingham is our favorite place to stay on our way to family near Chicago!! Always clean and welcoming!! Love love love the breakfasts!!

Great stop on our road trip. Our kids had a blast in the pool.

Nice place overall. During my stay, the entire hotel smelled like a wet dog. There were a great many children there for some function. Loud. Yelling.Running up and down the halls. And the air conditioner in my room sounded like an outboard boat engine. Didn't sleep much.

It was our family road trip and we stayed 1 night in the hotel . Complimentary parking was a plus. The service was pleasant, room specious, clean, 2 queen beds very comfortable for 3 adults. Breakfast in the morning with variety of food, including make yourself waffles was perfect on the way heading the road again. We'd stay in this hotel again.

We had a good stay at the La Quinta. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, and the hotel and rooms are well maintained. The walls are a bit thin - easy to hear small children (mine included) and neighboring dogs.

Clean, new and beautiful hotel. Staff all very friendly. Unfortunately our late night check in was chaotic with room keys being provided to a room already occupied by a sleeping family. We walked in on a family asleep in their bed and were chased out just as scared as the man we woke up. At the front desk we were provided with a different room and again the same scenario repeated itself with a room occupied being assigned to us. Third time we were finally provided an unoccupied room. The staff was apologetic and despite the mix ups we would stay here again.

Too pricy for quality of building and rooms. Also, dogs were allowed to stay in hotel and barking in rooms that makes really annoying and not family friendly. I do not recommend it and will not stay in such hotel again.

First room i checked into had a filthy bathroom. The second room i was moved to had hair from the previous guest all over the vanity, i smelled cigarette smoke throughout the lobby and several times in my room during the morning hours. The girl at the front desk named Adrianna offered absolutely no apology for the inconveniences and discomforts that my family and i experienced while we stayed at the hotel. The housekeeping staff was extremely rude in the early morning hours with loudly speaking to each other in the halls and waking me up several times and banging their carts into the hallway walls. And the housekeeping staff had no remorse or reservations about enjoying the guest breakfast that i and all the other guests payed for, even to the point where one housekeeping staff memeber didn't even use a plate or silveware, she just eat a piece of sausage with her hands while leaning against the breakfast bar while i was trying to serve myself my own breakfast.

This hotel was CLEAN! That is always my top priority when booking with my family. In addition, the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
