Clean, hotel but RIGHT next to the highway, and we faced away from it and it was still noisy. Wouldn’t have wanted an even number room. Came for the solar eclipse weekend and the pool was out the whole weekend which was a bummer for us with kids. Room was clean, good storage. Nice to have a microwave and fridge. Staff were very nice but seemed overwhelmed with visitors for this busy weekend

This Holiday Inn is in Salem, a small city in southern Illinois. It is clean - the hotel, rooms, and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and double queen rooms were spacious. The gym was nice and any issues I had were resolved immediately. Everyone was nice and accommodating. I always enjoy my stay here when I come to visit family.

My family stayed over this past qeekend and the hospitality was fantastic. My 3 year old daughter was sick most of our stay which resulted in her throwing up during breakfast in the lobby. The absolutely sweet woman that was working the morning shift was so endearing and understanding and help me clean up and sanitize the mess and was nothing but kind to my daughter. 5 stars! Coming back to stay next year!!

Hotel was nice, clean, staff was great and friendly. Parking was adequate and well lit. Overall, we enjoyed the stay and would recommend for families.

Would have been better if there weren’t kids running up and down the hall half the night. Very nice and clean though. Comfortable beds.

The staff was very friendly. We had our dog with us, so the small area for the dog run was a nice added feature. The pool area is quite small with only a few chairs, but the kids enjoyed it. We would definitely stay again if we were in town.
