Drury Inn & Suites Mt. Vernon

Pros: the room was decently clean. The carpet turned my kids feet black. They serve dinner, drinks and breakfast. All were lovely. Hotel staff was wonderfully kind. My only complaint — I called ahead and verified that the hot tub was in working order with no issues. I booked the hotel FOR THE HOT TUB as my bday treat to myself. The jets were broken. I was not warned. The water was luke warm at best. My kids enjoyed the pool. I just wouldn’t have paid $100 extra for the hotel specifically because of the hot tub just to not be able to use it. The dinner served and wonderful staff made me feel a lot less cheated. When in working order, aside from needing a deep clean, it’s great. Beds were so comfy!

Rooms were clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and clean. The extras the hotel offered were good - breakfast, dinner, snacks, drinks and the toiletries in bathroom and shower. Dining area and eating area is well maintained, clean and comfortable. Outside is well lighted and easy entry access, safe. Will definitely use again. If you have children the free breakfast and evening meals will save you some cash, good variety to choose from.

We had a nice weekend getaway. Was in town visiting family. Would definitely stay here again. Very clean room and hotel.

Loved the happy hour and appetizers! (Thank you!).. Breakfast was decent but not exceptional. A lot of young children in and around the pool area. Happy to see that they were enjoying their stay, but the screaming was a bit much. Our room was quiet which was the most important thing. :)

Our family of 4 stayed here last minute on our long drive from Florida to Iowa. My only complaint was our room had a slight smell of urine. Everything else was great, especially the breakfast.

Nice clean rooms. Very crowded with families who seem to come for the free appetizers and drinks from 530-730. Most of property is clean and well kept with exception of stairwells which are littered with wrappers and spilled drinks and smoke/weed smell. Extra attention by staff would eliminate this issue. Highest pet fee we have seen as we frequently travel throughout the US with our dog . ($50)
