Inn at 500 Capitol

My family and I were in town for a couple of back-to-back celebrations. Fun?! Yes! But traveling can be stressful sometimes so where you stay is important. I highly recommend the Inn at 500 Capital. Their staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful. The shuttle service they offer is a plus! We had to pick up some last minute items…no problem, they recommended where we should go AND took us there! They also provide transport to/from the airport. Their staff were also helpful with recs for dining and local entertainment. We didn’t have a chance to dine in their restaurant but had some drinks and outstanding appetizers at the bar. The location is ideal; we walked most everywhere including to their local farmers market on Saturday morning that featured a variety of local artisans, food/sweet treats, coffee, and more. Our rooms were very clean and the beds, super comfy. We loved the fireplace, too, and would turn it on each night…quite relaxing. They not only offer you a welcome beverage (beer/wine) but have complimentary bottled water, soft drinks, and a variety of snacks. Seriously! Sometimes it’s just the little things that make a difference and this place had several. Five PLUS stars!

Hotel was beautiful, staff were friendly. My family appreciated the complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby. Walking distance to many restaurants and activities.

Beds and room was amazing. Slept like a baby.

We love the Inn at 500 Capitol. Things we love- quiet rooms, fireplace, reasonable rates for a boutique hotel, valet parking, complimentary drinks, beautiful lobby. We loved the bed and linens. We would have loved a cozy blanket at the end of the bed for watching tv. We loved the 3pm check in time and the 12pm checkout. A couple things we do not love: the entrance to the hotel is crammed with cars. The complimentary snacks in the lobby are geared to children in an adult hotel (rice krispies, fruit snacks, granola bars next to wine). We’d love some gourmet nuts, granola, high end chocolate, or dried fruits, etc. In the room they have switched out normal locking doors on the bathrooms to sliding doors with no locks. There is no fan for the shower. The toilet paper is super cheap and is tissue paper quality.

Very nice, and clean place to stay. Unfortunately we weren’t able to spend a lot of time at the Inn or dine there, but I’d still recommend it to family or friends due to friendly staff and cleanliness.
