The property was clean. Breakfast was great. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the view. The beds were very uncomfortable though. My family stayed at the Outrigger for 6 nights and by the 3rd night our backs were hurting and we didn't feel rested. Overall we had a great experience.

The staff was ok, but not totally happily accommodating like a place that charges you a resort fee should be. I don’t think the resort fee was warranted, there was only one restaurant and one bar, and the bar wasn’t always open. The food was pricey but it was delicious and fresh. There were limited activities, I only remember there being yoga in the morning. The beach fronting the property is not good for kids or for leisurely swimming, it was rough and choppy, would be work to swim in it. Next time we go we are going to try to stay somewhere else.

When we arrived for our stay we were informed that we booked a deal that was for Kauai residents only. And if we wanted the room reserved for us, we would have to pay an additional $200 a night. No assistance offered. I was made to sit in the lobby at 10:30pm with my family while I checked prices and booked our same room through a third party, Expedia. The Customer service in this situation was appalling. And the promos completely misleading. Plus we had to pay daily for parking and the water slide was closed half the time.

Loved it right off the bat the airport was not a issue as far as noise and it backed right up to the ocean. I liked that it was on the east side and it was no more than a hr north or south to partake in any of the activities the island has to offer. Great kid friendly swimming area and a adult beverage dispensery near the pool had a blast would def go back.

Beautiful property. My kids loved the pool, waterslide and volleyball. Saddie at the front desk was extremely helpful and gave us great tips on local places to visit.

On arrival they gave us a dirty room without an ocean view (we paid for an ocean view). Gave us a new room after about an hour; staff was rude about it, got to new room and the power was out of the whole building. Room quality is about a 2 star. Sheets had someone's blood on them. Charged $70 per day for parking that we were not expecting. Waves around ocean are deadly espcecially for children. Do not stay here!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was centrally located to what we wanted to do on the island. Our room was always clean as was the grounds and pool area. Our kids loved the pool area and spent hours going from pool to pool. The rooms need upgraded, but they were comfortable. The beach is not the best on the island but it was still beautiful. If you are expecting a five star hotel, you will likely be disappointed. If you are expecting a clean, comfortable hotel with amazing staff, beautiful grounds, and a great pool, you will really enjoy your stay!

Best thing at this location is the SPA and on site restaurants. This is definitely good for more couple like things. We have a 5 year old and with sleepy meltdowns etc I don’t feel this is family friendly for little ones. Teenagers and above cam have a great time here.
