Subject: Feedback on Stay at Waikiki Marina Resort at During our stay from January 10th to 17th, we experienced a power outage on January 12th, coinciding with my grandmother's 91st birthday celebration. She is wheelchair-bound, and the outage disrupted our plans and safety measures. Additionally, the loud alarm near her room forced us to relocate her, compounded by the non-operational lobby elevator, which posed challenges in navigating alternative routes. With 16 family members across five rooms, the outage disrupted our ability to spend quality time together, especially during significant events like scattering our father's ashes and celebrating our uncle's 70th birthday. The outage also caused practical inconveniences, such as dead or low phone batteries, prompting us to purchase power packs for our devices.

The location was great. Very close to the lagoon which the kids really enjoyed. Walkable to ala moana mall and to the waikiki strip.

The room size was nice. The bathroom could use an updating. The pool was way to warm to enjoy, plus the lounging/baby pool was cloudy.

This is a great classic hotel with a vintage vibe. The rooms are spacious, and beds comfortable. It is nicely updated. The pool is warm and family friendly. You can walk to anything you need. We loved having a full kitchen to save money. We also really enjoyed the courtyard and frequent stops to Dave's Ice Cream. The staff was friendly and helpful. We cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Ilikai.

A two minute walk to the beach and the lagoon, which was perfect for the kids. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Delicious Kona coffee in the room. Only downside is we stayed on the 15th floor on the city side and traffic was quite noisy at night. Otherwise, would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location, very convenient for all bus routes..bus stop just outside. Loads of dining options, walking distance to largest shopping mall, Hilton village, lagoon. Air condition was noisy at times and if you have city view room then traffic is loud if you leave the door to balcony open. Reception staff are extremely helpful, positive and friendly. Made us feel very welcome. Room is a bit tired and older than expected but the kitchen had all the utensils, microwave, fridge toaster etc which was really great for our family. Only fault with the place is that WI-FI kept turning off.

On the outside the place looks nice. but do NOT! fall for it! first of all the place is confusing and inconvenient! imagine hauling a weeks worth of luggage all throughout this treacherous maze trying to figure out where to go! the “front desk” where you check in feels like the ER. when we got off the elevator to our floor we were greeted by the obnoxious noise of the dryers and this steamy musty heat, where was it coming from!?!?? Thankfully our room wasn’t far from the elevators. We got to the room and everything seemed swell AT FIRST. The AC smelled of mold, it permeated every area of the room. the bathroom was crusty! The shower curtain reeked of bacteria! It smelled like piss!!! I later come to find out that is due to the fact that this hotel does NOT provide upkeeps for the rooms. The smell became so unbearable I had to mop and clean the bathroom myself, ON VACATION!!! As a mother of 2 I thought this trip was supposed to give me a break from the house chores, but apparently NOT!! Eve my kids were disgusted! The valet parking is expensive costs $35 a day tips. Overall the stay was not so pleasant. One of the only good things about it was the fact that it was close to everything. that was surely a plus. There are also some little shops in the lobby area. other than that, the room itself was disgusting and unwelcoming. Overall I would not recommend staying here. According to my teenage daughter, this place “does not slay”.

This is the best ever place I experienced while we were in vacation. Reasonable price and will recommend to anyone. Specially to a family who doesn’t want to miss their home. Convenient for tour pick ups too. I will highly recommend this place. Thank you so much for front desk customer service very friendly , supportive and helpful.
