The staff and the Hotel Manager went above and beyond what we expected. We were on our honeymoon and we are going back for more trips since the staff and the Hotel Manager were wonderful to us. They treated us like family. The views are wonderful. It is a wonderful place to stay for any occasion. We are still talking about it since we are home now how wonderful it was and can't wait to go back. Thank you staff and the Hotel Manager for everything y'all have done for us we look forward for coming again and again. Thank you, Justin and Amanda Kuttler. (aka) wheelchair is Amanda Kuttler. we love y'all.

My family was excited to stay at the resort for Christmas. Once we checked in we was extremely disappointed the room was disgusting, stained carpet in several places, dirty toilet and an outdated room. I wanted to check out but I knew I wouldn’t get a refund due to booking with a third party, and possibly not be able to find other accommodations being it was the holiday. So I went to Walmart got cleaning supplies and cleaned the room so we would be comfortable. Needless to say we will never stay at this property again, it definitely was not a resort.

The Ridges Resort made for a memory filled vacation meet up spot for our family coming from out of town. The grounds and lake are beautiful and relaxing, everyone is super nice and friendly, and walking to the marina, the pool, and the water park was very convenient with kids, along with nightly s’mores at the fire pit. The bad reviews are kind of sad because it is definitely a more rustic, simple resort and not a super fancy hotel; it’s in the middle of the mountains in a small town! I love fancy stuff and luxurious trips myself, but we loved the old school, more low key fun we had here. The staff clearly takes pride in everything they do at the resort; and make you feel very welcome. There are a few really good restaurants nearby, a couple of coffee shops, and boating, hiking, activities, etc. If you are looking for room service and a super high end experience, this isn’t the place to go, but it is an extremely fun and beautiful place for a very reasonable price. We, along with quite a few other guests, spent our early mornings on the dock with our coffees enjoying the beautiful lake and chatting. We plan to come back many times!

I can see where this property would appeal to families with small children, it hold little appeal to adults. The classification as a "resort" is misleading. A resort in my humble opinion is reflective of upscale treatment/facilities. This place seemed to have little staff and they were spread thin. The grounds were completely overgrown with weeds/tree branches. The luggage carts all had flat tires and most of the common areas were dirty lacking dusting, simple vacuuming. The onsite restaurant (Oaks) was good and the water park for children was nice. The marina restaurant was just so-so. The price was within range, but again, not for a resort. The rooms were nice, spacious and the shower worked well, while the toilet leaked and wasn't even bolted completely to the floor. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, but the lack of staff overall was noticible. I believe this place could be brought back to it's former glory with a large investment, but as it stands it's just old and dirty.

We had a weekend of fun. Beautiful place for our family of 8 (all ages). Something to do for everyone. Swimming, fishing, relaxing , boat/ jet ski rentals and a water park that was a blast! The restaurant on site , The Oaks Lakeside kitchen, is highly recommended. I was hesitant to book because of the other reviews but am soooo happy I did. We will definitely be back.

Definitely the location it's amazing, right in front of the lake, with an easy-to-access marina right there. In regards to the property itself, it has a cabin in the mountains feelings but you can notice from your arrival at the front desk or reception it lacks TLC and definitely needs maintenance. The rooms themselves the carpets are disgusting, ants appear all over the place with the minor crumb that you leave anywhere, the bathrooms are pretty much on the same level, and shower curtains are full of fungus that has not been changed or properly cleaned in a very long time. In summary the location definitely it's great for families but the hotel needs to be taken care of.

The ladies working the front desk were friendly and tried there best but the hotel seemed unorganized. We weren’t given much info and when asked about where breakfast served they sent us to a room that was locked. No body around there really knew what was going on. It looks lovely in the pics but it’s not. Very outdated and full of kids.

Our stay was exactly what we were hoping for. Peace, relaxation, fun and good food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the fire in the evening with smores. That was a very nice touch to end our night. We can not wait to bring the entire family back and stay more nights!
