Plus: big rooms, suitable for families up to 4, easy parking, walking distance to restaurants downtown, laundry room, good beds, refrigerator, usb chargers, coffee to go at reception. Minus: room needed a rehab, hooks loose / fell down from wall, no change of towels, breakfast below medium standard, impossible to reach reception on email or telephone in advance, expencive, did not accept corporate price.

This hotel, like many of the hotels in Helen, needs an updating. Doesn’t feel like a Hilton, except the pillows, the pillows are always a treat. The washing/drying machines need to be replaced, they should be $1 instead of $2 for their condition and slow results. The rooms should be checked for freshness before guests are allowed in because all our linens smelled damp and old like a thrift store. The carpet could be replaced too. Bring your slippers of course. The staff was polite and they replaced our blanket when we called and asked, I personally washed our pillow cases but could e asked for fresh ones, the staff was accommodating. The breakfast was good, they let you borrow pool towels. The walk to the creek is wonderful! The kids can splash in the water and watch the tubers go by. The location is very walkable and we felt safe.

Good for families.

More or less everything was very well. Breakfast was better than I expected and all the staff were great. The only problem I had was that LOTS of noise from the room above us. We had to call down to reception twice to complain about kids running or bangin in the room above us. After the first call at 10:30 at night it only quieted down for about 2 hours. At 12:45 am we had to again call reception about the noise. It was the same issue the next night. We were given a choice to change rooms but we weren't going to move at that time of night! Kids were also running around in the breakfast area jumping in front of adults to get to food instead of waiting their turn. I know this is not the hotel's fault but that of the irresponsible parents who let them run wild and no manners.
