Candlewood Suites Columbus Fort Benning, an IHG Hotel

Excellent service by the staff members. Only issue was that the pool was not available for the kids. Other than that amazing stay no complaints.

The hotel staff was nice enough to let me, my girlfriend and her kids check in early! The staff was friendly our entire stay. The hotel was newly renovated and very clean. Our room was very nice(they even had dove soap, conditioner, and shampoo in the bathrooms). They did not have a continental breakfast but the kitchenette in the suite gave us plenty of options. I would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone else!

It was our family’s problem that we reserved two rooms, instead of reserving a room with two beds. Therefore, the price was a little higher. However, I’m pleasing with the cleanliness and the toiletries. The hotel didn’t offer a breakfast, which I don’t mind because we didn’t eat breakfast. It was also showing on the details. As they renovated the hotel, it was transformed from an old outline to a new floor and the shower stands. One of the most thing I like about the room is the bathroom. The day we were supposed to move out at 11:00 pm, it was a heavy rainstorm day. I talked to the front office, a kind African-American woman, she was so understanding and extended the time 30 minutes to an hour more for us to stay until the weather calm down. Our two nights stayed in this hotel were wonderful. I love the way it near to the base and other foods courts/restaurants. Overall I love this experience.

For the first time in my life i have a hotel that me and my family so in love with it

This is the second of 2 recent stays where the hotels.com rating was extremely misleading. There is no way this hotel is an 8.8. Absolutely no way. The room we stayed in was in horrible condition. Stains all over the carpeting. Bathroom cabinets with water damage. Toilet that would barely flush. A/C that barely cooled the room. And clearly the room was not cleaned well as my son found FOOD such as fried shrimp in the chair!! It was gross and awful. The only positive thing I have to say is that the man who checked us in was very nice. Beyond that, this hotel was terrible. And what bothers me most is the hotels.com rating. It’s a scam. This is a ZERO hotel and I will never use hotels.com again. I had always loved it for the convenience but am so disappointed in the last 2 stays that you have lost a customer. I’m sure you get a kickback for me spending my money to stay at a crappy hotel. My hard earned money was wasted on this stay and I am just beyond dissatisfied with hotels.com at this point. And here’s the thing, I’m sure had I gone to the front desk, they would have changed my room, but I had been driving all day and my family had already settled. And changing from one crappy room to another crappy room would have been a waste of time and energy any way. I have used the hotels.com app for most bookings but am so dissatisfied with my last 2 bookings that I most likely will not use it again.
