Homewood Suites by Hilton Lake Mary

My stay was incredible! I was very impressed with this hotel. The only negative was the $75 incidental fee. I stay in many hotels throughout the year, because I have two kids in college. I have never had to pay more than $20 for an incidental fee. This $75 incidental fee forced me to have to order in on for dinner on Saturday night. It will also probably make me have to choose a different hotel the next time. I am a Hilton Rewards Member, so I was very surprised to be charged $75 at check in.

The staff was responsive. The room was clean. The quietness was great. Overall, a very nice family hotel.

The pool was under construction which I was unaware of and my kids were very disappointed. The tvs then hardly worked so disappointing night especially for my kids.

Front Desk, specifically Josh was very helpful. Firstly we arrive shortly after 3p.m. (our check in time) and our room was not ready. We waited for about 30 mins and were informed it was still not ready. We ended up leaving to eat, since we had been traveling most of the day. And we were traveling with two small children. The pool is listed as an amenity, however, upon arrival we were informed there was no pool because of construction. This was not updated on their website. We finally get into our room hoping to shower after a long day, and there was no cold water in the master bathroom or the kitchen. The water was so hot it was painfully uncomfortable to use. The water in the second bedroom would only get lukewarm. The room had a very strong chemical smell. It smelled like glue or adhesive. It was nauseating. The only good thing about our stay was the front desk, and their customer service skills. I would not recommend this place nor would be want to stay here again.

2 night stay. Flight cancelled by Hurricane Ian - many families taking refuge from power outages and flooding. Some ceiling damage from water in the hall. Loved the room layout. Rooms did show signs of age. Breakfast was not the best - the food was cold.
