Hilton Garden Inn Lake Mary

I have stayed in hotels all over Europe and the US and this is by far the worst hotel ever. The room was not cleaned despite my 10 day stay. I had to request the trash be removed, coffee and coffee cups every single day. After 5 days a cleaning was supposed to take place but I had to request it first. The towels were exchanged , the bed was made and trash removed and that was all the housekeeping that was done. My coffee, coffee cups and water cups were never replenished and not once did they supply even one bottle of water which is standard in every hotel I have ever been in. The only friendly member of staff was Pedro who gave me several coffees and cups when asked. The rest of the staff could use some training in smiling and general customer service, in fact a pretty surly bunch overall. Breakfast was overpriced at $10.00 per day and the one dinner I ate in the evening was mediocre. All the other Hiltons I have ever stayed in have been wonderful experiences but I would never stay at Hilton Garden Inn, Lake Mary again and would definitely not recommend it to any of my friends or family.

This is my second time staying at this location due to a conference. The dining options in the area are good and walkable. I discovered a great Indian food place this time! Hotel is clean, with a great, covered outdoor space to work or eat. Parking easy and on site. Popular for traveling sports teams so may not be the quietest location if peace is what you are searching for. The pool is very popular with the kids.

Not awesome, will not return. In all fairness, I’ll do a pros & cons list. There were 4 of us: 2 adults, 2 children. Pros: Front entrance is pretty & smelled nice. Front desk staff were friendly. Cons: Shuttle ends at 10pm (even if you call 24 hours prior to check in). So, if you have a late flight, you’ll need to get an Uber - even if you were told by the hotel that the shuttle would be running for your late arrival). We checked in around 12:30am & the process was difficult and lengthy. There were issues with the computer - they had our reservation but the system wouldn’t process it. Our room key didn’t work after 3 tries & an assist from a staff person. We ended moving rooms and didn’t get into our room until 2am. Then, to our surprise, they are doing renovations so we got to experience hammering at 9am. Housekeeping knocked on the door shortly after. We requested 2 queen beds but after the room fiasco, we were given 2 full size beds. Overall, the hotel (other than the front desk) is run down and frankly, gross. The walls are thin, you can hear above you and beside you. There was trash in the hallways on the floor, random stains throughout. It needs a deep clean. Finally, our bathtub faucet dripped heavily throughout the night, which was annoying. However, they offered us complimentary water & a snack each for our troubles, so that was nice. We will stay elsewhere next time.

The hotel and grounds are perfect. Loved the The convenience of the businesses around the hotel as well. But It was a big-time inconvenience that we had a second floor room all the way at the end of a hallway and the elevator was out. Things happen I understand , but between all my luggage, a bad back and a kid…
