The hotel is in a great area and the facilities are very nice. The shuttle driver was excellent. The staff was confused and were not able to give us accurate information. The hotel closed the pool on July 4th at 3PM for a private party. However, they told us when we booked that guests could attend the party. When we arrived they wanted $130 per adult and $50 per child. The cost of the room almost doubled that night as well.

We had a few issues innour room with the balcony door and a few electrical outlets. We called the front desk and maintenance arrived at our room within 10 minutes and repaired the issues within another 10 minutes. Excellence service overall. I did not like the valet charge but the guys working down there were all polite and knowledgeable about the area. Also the Westin has thee best beds, hands down. Overall I was there with about 20 family members and everyone had nothing but positive things to say about our stay.

Both of my recent stays were wonderful. I have recommended the Westin Sarasota to friends & family and will definitely return.
The roof top was under staffed. I did notice bartenders & servers ignoring people wanting to be served. I personally had a nice server who was overwhelmed and eventually forgot about me by the pool for 90 minutes. I had to track him down to pay my tab. But those are training & staffing issues. He was very nice.

My family enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be very nice. They took a $200.00 deposit of which we were not notified of but is their standard procedure. The money was released two days later.if i had known it sure would have helped me plan my finances better.

Initially our family was staying for 1 night but the Westin was so wonderful that we extended our stay to 3 nights! The staff are so friendly and helpful and the roof top pool is great. All in all I would highly recommend the Westin.

I did not have a pleasant stay at the Westin. Management did nothing to accommodate me in another room. I was with my family and I was given a room that did not suit me. Although I paid for a room of my liking. They kept saying that they were all booked. I understand that they were all booked, but that is not my problem. They booked and gave me the wrong room and did nothing to make anything better for me. No call back, no email, practically let me deal with my situation by myself. On top, fees were outrageous.

Amazing hotel for a great price. Immaculate hotel, great restaurant and fantastic roof top pool. Went with a young family of 5. Would definitely visit again!

There was a lot of hidden fees per night. Breakfast was a cold eggs toast and bagels for 20 bucks then Orange juice or milk was charged extra. As for as the restaurant way over priced 150 for some nachos, chicken wrap a kids meal. No microwave so you in the room so you couldnt heat up your leftovers.No fitted sheet on the beds. I had to call the front desk to get things housekeeping didnt fill such as body wash, was clothes, coffee. Way over priced could have stayed at the Holiday Inn and had a better experience for cheaper.

Room wasn’t ready when promised, after being told room was vacant & waiting final check off from cleaning staff, waited over 45 minutes in the lobby, only to be “upgraded” to a room that smelled like wet “shoes.” Mgr. did comp us a breakfast for a member of our party. Front desk Staff needs to slow down & listen to their guest when addressing a problem & not over talk them. Restaurant & Valet staff were great. Front desk personnel need some training! Kitchen staff needs training on providing opinions to guest with Food allergies. In know we are not the only family with this dietary concern. But a guest should not be made to feel as if it is an inconvenience to the kitchen staff. This is tge 2nd Westin property we stayed at where we had to go off property to find food options despite them both having restaurants on property. There will not be a 3rd! In today’s economy, if you’re going to charge $400 to $600 a night you need to have your stuff together. I paid over $1,500 for 3 ngts. I did not get my money’s worth. I will not be staying at this property again!

There is no space do do stuff at nights in the hotel, they close everything at 11pm, there is only one restaurant for breakfast and the food was not good. Really expensive, we payed $140 per 3 kids and 2 adults for breakfast and not good at all, completely overpriced.
