Every employee we encountered was very helpful & friendly. Matthew who put chairs & umbrellas out on the beach was exceptional. The girl at the front desk at check in was overwhelmed. She was checking people in AND handling the phone. We waited about 10 minutes to get to check in. A family came in after us and for some reason the concierge checked them in all while we were still waiting. They were in & out. That put us off to a bad start but our stay was very nice.

Nice family place to stay clean and maintain would consider staying here again as i did in the past for many years. It’s now a Hilton property before was a Diamond Property and the Time Share person you need to see to obtain your parking permit is a bit pushy just blow him off because the grand tour is off site at the old Daytona Beach Regency down the street a former Diamond Property now also a Hilton. The key is to have your spouse wait outside and say there at the store and don’t commit to nothing. works every time.

Stayed with my husband and two small children, the hotel is very kid-friendly, especially the pool. The staff is incredibly helpful and I liked the text concierge service. The only thing it’s missing is either in room laundry or a laundry room. It would’ve been nice to do a little load of essentials.

Very updated, nice and clean, kid friendly but no proper outdoor pool. No deep end for any adults to swim.

We booked a large 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds, one king bed, and a sofa bed. They put us in the north tower and I open the door to a CLOSET of a room. Only 2 queen beds. The bedroom had no windows at all. It was like a prison cell. After much fuss with the front desk (not friendly at all) we were told that the second day of our stay there MIGHT be a room that I booked available. MAYBE. I was shocked to say the least. Booked the room 4 months ago and prepaid for it, get there and it’s not available? That’s not cool at all. Fortunately, after sleeping 3 adults to each small queen bed, a room in the south tower did open up and after that eveything was incredible. We had the beds we needed, washer and dryer, beautiful appliances. There’s a large tub in the primary bedroom yet not enough hot water to fill more than 2 inches. The pool is cute and perfect for kids, it’s all under 4’ deep. Lots of wild unruly children but that’s not the hotels fault. I made sure to snag enough beach towels and just wash them because they’re always out. The beach was incredible, had a great time other than the first day being completely ruined and absolutely no compensation of any kind, not even an appology!! Very disappointing as we’re repeat guest. I wouldn’t stay here again after the way the front desk handled our reservation.

The cleanliness and friendly staff. What I didn’t like is driving on beach —- too dangerous for little ones

My suite was in the South Tower, and I was pleasantly surprised upon check-in as everything appeared to be recently updated. The furnishings looked new and everything was very clean. I had a fully equipped kitchen, living area with sofa and tv, a small dining table, a spacious bedroom (with another tv) and a good sized bathroom with a deep tub. The balcony was small but afforded a view of the ocean.
Every staff member I encountered was very friendly and accommodating. I texted to ask for a late checkout and was given an extra hour, which was much appreciated.
There were 2 pools; one for little kids and one that had a lazy river. Neither were large, and they did tend to be quite crowded. Steps beyond the pool was a wooden walkway down to the beach. The hotel provided chairs and umbrellas for their guests on a FCFS basis. This beach allows cars to drive on it, which was a new experience for me. I walked North for a few minutes and came upon a more residential area with no cars and hardly any people, which was nice.
As a woman traveling alone I felt very safe and secure in this location. I was well away from the chaos that is Daytona Beach. Ormond Beach has lots of great restaurants, mini golf places, a bowling alley, shops and drugstores- perfect for a low-key Florida vacation. I really enjoyed my stay!
