Family overnight stay while in the area. First room was missing the tv. Second room smelled musty. Looks like they are going to remodel in Sept. Pool area was nice. Worst part was breakfast. Its not a normal holiday inn breakfast buffet but a sit down restaurant type breakfast. Had to wait 30 min to be seated with only 5 tables being used. Had to ask for a waitress after we got seated. Food wasn't really that good either. For the $25 we had in vochers it cost another $36 for a family of 5 with one kid eating free! Please make it a buffet for your hotel otherwise its not worth the cost.

I am IHG member and since I have insomnia I always ask the night before the check out how much late I can do the check out and always front desk help me with even three more hours from the time all hotels have to do the check out…not at this Holiday inn…this time front desk told me that I have to ask at 7am…that doesn’t help me at all because if I have to wake up at 7am to ask and struggle again 2 hours to go back to sleep is not help at all. Other thing less important the parking was across a heavy traffic street but thanks God we don’t have babies we are all adults. I like the clean and well maintained hotel including the pool.

There were church groups putting on an impromptu concert until midnight right outside the rooms. They were screaming and clapping until after midnight. Then the kids ran up and down the halls banging and screaming until 1 am. I called the front desk and they definitely could have cared less. If you are going to have this kind of stuff you should let people know or shut it down at a reasonable time so people and their kids can sleep

Several issues with the room. I had company which included several kids. The toliet got clogged. I called for maintenance, he bought a plunger and said here you go and said I had to use it. I refused and had to call the manager who said I would have to use it. I said no and I needed the corporate #. I hung up and she called back and said she was sending someone up to clear it. She did and then said she would comp one night for the issue. I wish I had gotten in writing. She didn't issue the credit. Will never stay there again.

Overall, staying at Holiday Inn & Suites Daytona Beach was not a good experience. The hotel looks nice from the outside, and the lobby makes it feel like an updated hotel, but the moment you step outside the elevator to get to your room, it becomes clear that the hotel is old and run-down. It doesn't look like a hotel where you would like your family to stay. The carpets need to be cleaned; the door looks old and dirty. The floors have a smell of disinfectant. The carpet in the rooms is in better condition, but I could see things need replacements like the flush handle was broken, the heater had a burning smell (way more than what you usually have when you turn on a heater after a long time). That gave me a headache, and I couldn't sleep for many hours. The bed and pillow were just ok. You can hear the adjacent room load clearly, and the sliding door to the balcony needs a better fit to prevent the ocean air from coming in. The hotel is next to Hard Rock Hotel; they had a concert that went on till 11:30 every night. We could hear the music loud and clear, like they were playing in the room, and there was no insulation in the walls or the door to reduce that. I understand that blocking the music and sounds 100% is impossible, but closing the balcony door should have allowed us to sleep well. Don't eat at the hotel. The food is tasteless and not worth the money. The hotel is right on the beach and has a swimming pool - the same as most hotels in that area.

Excellent hotel for the comprehensive enjoyment of what a family needs, great breakfast, easy access to all areas, it is strategically well located. We will surely return for a weekend before summer. So good!

I had no issues at all with my stay, when we were checking in and getting our key cards one of several of our family members staying here, told us which room they were in and the young lady asked right away if we wanted the same floor, and of course we did, so she put us there with no problems or anything!! Recommended to several others already!! I’d stay again for sure!!!

Short security guard verbally and physically abused member of our family. He didn’t believe our son stayed in the hotel, even he showed him room key. He start attacking our son and tried to fight him telling him his key is fake. Same thing happened next day even we extended our stay. We have to book different hotel because of this nasty behavior of HOLIDAY INN employee. His name was Chris C. That’s what manager with same name was claiming.BTW- no apologies from management at all. We been humiliated and lost money . And your hotel it’s infested with roaches ,bad cigarettes smell and black mold in bathroom behind the toilet. This should be your priority number one!!!!

Nice hotel right on the beach. Easy beach access. The restaurant/bar are very nice and convenient. The pool area is clean and my kids enjoy it because it’s 10 feet deep at the deepest end. We’ve stayed here twice and would stay again.
