Berkeley Park MGallery Hotel Collection

My friend and I stayed at Berkeley Park for a few days for vacation! The hotel was very clean and we mentioned how we would both bring our families. We like how close it was to everything, shopping, the beach, and restaurants! My only negative was that most of the pillows were too hard and felt like it had lumps in it!

We paid approximately $540 per night when you include valet parking and the resort fees. For that rate I was expecting a better quality product. The hotel was in a good location but lacked amenities and operational capabilities to deliver the experience we were expecting. We arrived at 1:30 and our room was not ready. We were told we were guaranteed a room at 4 and when we returned at 4 it was not ready. After traveling for 4 hours with two kids that was the last thing we needed. I don’t know why front desk didn’t ask that our room be cleaned as a priority when they knew we were wondering around South Beach waiting to check in. Also, we paid $90 in resort fees but the pool area was anything but a resort. There were no towels, no poolside service and two umbrellas for all guests. We had to leave after 15 mins as there was no shade for our kids. One other piece of constructive feedback would be to invest in an automatic entrance door. I don’t know how many people I saw struggling to open the door with suitcases. I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone in a wheelchair.

Not really an kid friendly place. Our TV didn't work and there was no microwave to warm up my daughter's milk or food.

Nice property, really good staff, surrounding areas are really nice but, no ideal for kids.

The hotel staff was lovely. The location of the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Lincoln Road and a five minute walk to the beach and you get two free deck chairs within your stay. The room itself was lovely and spacious, but we did pay for extra large room Which was generally clean and quite clean throughout the stay. The downside to this hotel is you can’t control your own Aircon or heating. It is controlled by the main system so at night the room is freezing and you can’t turn off the Aircon and on the heating so cold nights if it was , our three-year-old shivering. there are basic channels, a lot of the other hotels have premium channels, there is no kettle only coffee maker so it’s a bit hard when you’re making baby bottles. There is no hot water in the shower, It is tepid because apparently nobody in Miami has hot showers.
