La Quinta Inn & Suite by Wyndham Lake City

Upon booking this hotel, I assumed because it's apart of Wyndham it would a clean hotel. When I first walked into the room the floors were not vacuumed, bed sheets were stained, there was large red stains on the carpet that were sticky. The bottom corner of the window was dirty with crumbs and dirt. This was the worst room I have seen in my life. The walls were stained the luggage bench was stained and rusted. My family and I were only in the room for less than 30min before we checked out and found another hotel in the area. My family and I were very disgusted.

This was a disappointing visit!!! Hot hot pool!!! In Florida, really! a man’s kids were in the elevator and the hotel did not come to help him… had to call the fire department… a very upset family i witnessed! wet carpet… a mess … broken vanity in the bathroom…. very much needing some supervision!!!

Floor in room was wet. Came down for breakfast at 9:45 to find most everything gone. Had 2 bagels and an few cold scramble eggs left. Asked kitchen employee if they would be putting more biscuits or bacon out and was not so politely informed she would not be putting anything else out because she was getting ready to close. Breakfast is not supposed to end until 10 as the sign at the entrance clearly states AND as we were informed at checkin yesterday. A member of our family went to fix a waffle and got fussed at by the same employee. She once again impolitely told her that she had already cleaned the maker. Went to front desk to ask why we were told we could eat until 10 if that was not the case. Front desk employee states breakfast ended at 9. Showed her the sign posted and she says well that is wrong. No one even attempted to rectify the situation. Very rude employees who obviously care nothing about their guests!

The room was very clean and the hotel is conveniently close to restaurants. The pool was very small and the kids didn't want to get in the pool. I was trying to watch a movie on Netflix but the TV where outdated and had no option to sign in to a Netflix account. Other than that it was a good stay.

Overnight family stay on the way to orlando from new orleans…very clean and safe location

Reasonably clean. Rooms are very small, barely had room to open up my suitcase. I will never understand why hotels make you tell the size of your party when you book and then give you half that number of towels and washcloths. (My family of 4 in a double queen room. I was not trying to put an unreasonable number of people in a room.) DO NOT BOOK IF THE WEBSITE SAYS THERE IS ONLY A FEW ROOMS LEFT!!!! Parking lot is unreasonably small. There were absolutely no parking spots left. We were told by staff to park in grass along the entry way, but all grassy areas were already taken as well. We parked in a field next the hotel that was roped off. I told the front desk staff where we parked and she said, "Well you're not supposed to park inside the roped off area, but it should be ok." Would have tried to get my money back and go somewhere else if i weren't so tired i was afraid to drive anymore. Was worried about my vehicle, but thankfully it was still there and unscathed in the morning when i left. Glad i only had to stay one night. You really should have enough parking to accomodate the number of rooms you have.

I didn’t notice a damp floor like some of the other reviews said, and I was looking for it because of them lol. It was clean, well maintained, and the staff is so sweet, among the best I’ve experienced in a hotel really. There was a lot of noise from the parking lot in the back overnight, I guess some people partying around their car? Not sure why loitering was okay but luckily they got rained out after a couple hours. My little family will likely be back! :)

Very friendly staff. I moved out here from Indiana with the promise of a job & an apartment. However the apartment scammed me & now im homeless still trying to keep my job. The friendly staff works diligently & helps me feel like a family. Im so grateful for their help. I'm American Indian from Pernambuco Brasil & was an orphan who lost everything as a child. Words cant explain how much I appreciate the love & kindness this atmosphere has to offer. Everybody is great & they help me get through my bery complicated situation. I don't have a lot of money & I understand some places are more affordable; I chose to stay here because they make me feel like the home I've never had.
