Holiday Inn Express and Suites Jacksonville East, an IHG Hotel

When we got to our room there were several towels hanging on the shower rod but other than that the room seemed clean. The pool had cardboard or dirt floating around but the kids still enjoyed it, just made them shower afterwards. Fair price for what it was.

Darren greeted us at the door and he was awesome !!! Very knowledgeable about Jacksonville and my kids loved all the facts he was able to share with them !!! Everybody needs a Darren at their location !!! His personality was radiant . So nice to see someone who enjoys their job and is happy . His happiness is contagious:)

When I first arrived at the hotel, I checked in and asked the lady at the front desk if there was a fold out bed in the room & she advised yes. She then offered to bring me up extra sheets, comforter & a pillow. She then took one of my key cards and met me in my room. She noticed that the keycard that she had wasn't working but gave it back to me anyway. Once I had the opportunity to unfold the sofa bed, I noticed that the mattress was not clean (stains). I complained about it the next day & was advised that there was nothing that could be done but they would place a cover over it. Thursday morning I left for the entire day and when I returned there were chips on the floor (which were not left by me) & not enough towels. I recommended that my family driving up from Port St. Lucie stay in the same hotel and when they arrived Friday night there was no one at the front desk and they called me to come downstairs. They walked around and finally found someone to check them in & the woman seemed annoyed. I thought from the pictures on Expedia that this would be a good place to stay while I visited family but I was not satisfied.
