Holiday Inn Express Tampa-Brandon, an IHG Hotel

Went for the first time here: short family vacation. Reserved a one room two queen beds. Beds were comfortable. Had small refrigerator, microwave, k-cup coffee maker. So, the coffee maker didn’t work; the refrigerator was broken; literally froze everything you put in it including water bottles which were a block of ice. Cleaning was a joke; had to ask for extra towels, hand towels and face cloths every day we were there ( party of three). AC had a mind of its own no matter what you set it on would kick off and on all day and night. Thank god we brought our own fan to circulate the air. Breakfast was a decent breakfast: staff at breakfast time were AMAZING. Evenlyn was the sweetest person to wake up to every morning made sure you were all set and tables were clean. I would had given this a 5 had the small amenities in room were broken and AC worked and cleaning staff actually did their job.

Everyone that we encountered at the hotel was very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast in the mornings was very good, everything was nicely kept. It was also very nice having a pool at the hotel and it was also well-kept. The room however, was a bit of a different story. The room phone would not call the front desk and would just leave dead air until it finally cut off. Most every channel on the TV displayed no signal. Baseboard tiles were falling off and I had to hide them so my kids didn't get hurt. The bathroom sinks water only ran hot, and to the point that it was so hot that we had to wash our hands in the bathtub. If you even tried to turn the water to cold it just shut the sink off entirely. The refrigerator was essentially a freezer and every single thing that we put in, drinks and food as well, was frozen solid. The toilet also needs to be repaired as it had trouble Flushing even a few pieces of toilet paper without getting stopped up. The beds were comfy, as well as the pillows and blankets and the AC kept the room nice and cool for the three nights we were there. Hopefully some of these issues in the room can get fixed for the next guest.

Very nice hotel and very convenient location. Close to many stores for shopping and eating. Breakfast served was excellent with different items every day and lot of variety. Like regular bagels/bread to pancake maker ,yogurt,hard boil eggs ,cereal and juice dispenser, and the lady in charge of the kitchen always checking that if anything is needed. 24 hrs coffe avaliable in the lobby. For kids(and adults😂), they offer free ice cream every evening in the lobby. Nice little lake behind the Breakfast area with few seats so you can eat outside on a nice day. Have a small pool, too. Only thing I want to mention that the room service once they come and if you said that you are not ready yet or you are about to leave they don't come back and you have to ask the front desk for the new towels and stuff. One day, a lady at the font desk dropped new towels to our room when we called, and the next day, we had to get them from there. But overall excellent hotel for family to stay.

The hotel was great; however, I had to check out a day early because of an emergency. This has never happened and due to the fact I booked through Expedia, I was not granted a refund. As a result, our family and friends will never use Expedia for any of our travel needs in the future.

Very run down, dryer did not work, carbon monoxide detector went off twice in our room at 1am and my family of 4 had to move to a room and share a king bed, nobody helped us move our luggage, breakfast was all instant items, and bread and bagels were not even taken out of the plastic bag they came in. Doors were uneven so they would not close properly, bathroom mirror was chipped. Asked the front desk for a fabric spray as our room stunk so bad of dog hair and an old vacuum.

Toilet was not whipped down, floor not moped, Found Blood stain on the comforter, carpet in the room really stained up, next morning I went to the front desk about my concern, called someone to take care of it, came back 6hrs later and my room was still the same. What ever happened to having the room cleaned daily. My opinion has a mother with children, The room needs some serious cleaning. 5 out of 10 for me.

It was very restful while I was moving my family to Florida

The hotel was in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and the room was in great shape. I got lucky enough to get a room facing the pond which was very nice and relaxing to look at. The hotel is very close to a lot of places to eat and have fun at with your family. I was in town for a funeral, so it was nice to have a nice and relaxing place to stay.

The Hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly! I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

Spent the week in Brandon for a winter get-a-way. Breakfast, facilities (patio on lake and huge trees), location just off 75 & 60 near shopping and restaurants was all super. After having been away longer than expected and having left 'privacy please' on door, manager promptly arranged for room cleaning when requested and followed up. Staff overall were great. Will definitely return and recommend to friends & family.
