Homewood Suites by Hilton Gainesville

Stayed here a couple of times now. The two bedroom suites are great for my family. Two kids get their own room and me and my wife do as well.

My kids and I stayed in a two bedroom/two bathroom suite for a local wedding and it was the perfect size! The hotel is conveniently located near shopping (you could walk, but it was so hot outside that we drove). Everything was clean and the front desk staff was very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

We stay at this property every time we come to Gainesville or the sister property right behind it!! My wife is a government employee and while the family goes for fun she does some work in Gainesville. This time they would not give her Government discount because of a track meet!! Let’s see how many times the University of North Carolina State comes back!! We will probably find another property to stay at from now on!!!

This was a perfect stop on our way to Disney! The room had everything we could have needed. Mom and dad had their own space, while the kids were able to share a room with two queen beds and watch whatever they wanted on tv. With 2 bathrooms it was nice not having to wait on someone to get finished before someone else could start getting ready. Check in staff was AMAZING! texted to make sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying with Homewood Suites again!

Always stay here when visiting family in Gainesville. Like the location, pricing, comfort, pet friendly and the best feature, the STAFF here is wonderful!

It was nice to have enough beds and bathrooms for our large family! The suite had just enough room for our travelers to spread out.

We were checked in, offered breakfast, and felt a sense of relief after receiving a very bad experience at hotel nearby. Please know that the service Kiara provided to me and my family helped to relieve the stress and burden we received at the other hotel. Please commend her for her outstanding service. I also want to provide accolades to Melinda, Jessica, Yasmine and Mrs. Grace. They are absolutely wonderful and always smiling when I see them. I will always choose this hotel first when I come to Gainesville.

I live ~1.5 hours away from Gainesville and visit often. I have stayed in local hotels many times: Drury Inn & Suites (lovely rooms, cordial staff, included evening meal w/drinks plus breakfast), Hampton Inn & Suites Gainesville-Downtown (fun location, friendly staff, and enormous suites), Country Inn & Suites by Radisson (clean rooms, polite staff, indoor pool), etc. Very recently, I booked a stay at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa - Port Richey location and it was amazing! Our suite was large, the hotel offered 2 outdoor pools, a hot tub, we were able to grill our family dinner poolside, and the staff was great. When booking in Gainesville the next week, I saw there was a Homewood Suites by Hilton location there as well. It offered a 2 BR suite, which is perfect for my family of 7 (though only 5 of us stayed this trip). I booked fully expecting to have a wonderful time. Unfortunately, it was not quite. The pool was closed when we arrived through the next morning until after 11 AM. We were sent to a neighboring hotel pool, which did not have grills. Then, that pool was closed for resurfacing. I asked for a later check out, so my children could finally enjoy the pool and was denied, then grudgingly offered 1 PM. I asked about a discounted rate if I stayed another night and was offered $30 off of the over $200 rate, then $50 off, and finally $70 off, which I paid. At check out, I was refused a receipt for the 1st Hotels.com night. There was even a tick in our room. Yuck!

Room was great, location was excellent. Starbucks and Target close by. The front desk manager went above and beyond when our Grubhub delivery driver dropped our food off at a hotel next door; she went over and picked it up for us. Quiet facility, nice workout room. My only complaint is that a few things in the room weren’t clean. There were orange stains (like Cheetos) on the 2nd bedroom light switch and the closet mirror in that same bedroom was filthy, little kid hand marks all over it. One more note: the kitchen needs a larger garbage can. But other than the couple of items needing cleaning, the hotel was great. We would stay here again.

Lovely as always! We love the suite style so we can put our kids to bed in the room and still stay up in the living room
