Fortuna Hotel

This is a perfect boutique motel/hotel with (2) small pools that had a bin full of floats for the kids. Its right next to the W hotel which has some great restaurants within 3 minute walk. The room was spacious with (2) seperate rooms with a Queen Bed in each. The shower/bathroom was in smaller side. It had a mini fridge and microwave plus a wine opener if you buy wine. Keep in mind, this is a solid 3 Star Hotel - put those 5 star hotel expecations to the side. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and the area seem to be quiet. We did not spend much time inside the room as we were at the beach, pool or eating on the beach. This was a perfect location and ideal if you just need a relaxing place to sleep. I would stay here again for our next trip to Fort Lauderdale Beach.

We are a family of 4 with 2 boys ages 12 & 13. Great location- walking distance to the beach and they had beach towels and chairs and umbrellas to check out for free. It was very clean and was spacious (king bed in main room and 2 queens in other room). The kitchen is tiny but perfect for the short time we stayed. This unit was actually 2 units combined so there were 2 bathrooms- although you couldn’t use one of the showers because the curtain didn’t stay down and water went everywhere. One negative was the noise level… the AC units are VERY noisy and I could hear them through ear plugs… so if you travel during the very warm months, be prepared for noisy AC. Also you can hear people when passing by your unit - it’s pretty loud. Ear plugs help. Otherwise it has its own pool, outdoor shower, pool toys, the other people staying there were very nice - not the crazy spring break crowd we expected. Staff was fantastic and very helpful. We would stay there again!

We had a wonderful time at this property, just a block or 2 from the beach. It was quiet, even with some of the spring break kids, they were respectable and we had fun talking with them. The beach towels, chairs and umbrellas were an awesome perk to take to the beach. This trip was 2 couples taking a long weekend getaway. The only improvement I would recommend is larger trash cans in the room.

I called the property before i booked a room because of the tike our flight got in. The lady that was working the night shift said to book for the day our flight got in and to call for an early check in. Thats what i did and was told something else. I used a different site to book a room for an extra night but they still gave away our room. My family was stranded until 5 am when a different hotel booked us a room. Most of the staff was rude and there was no housekeeping.

Good clean property . Close to beach. Very friendly staff. It is a heritage hotel, good value for a family.

This property is nice enough to stay at for anyone, whether traveling alone or with a family. It is a very simple accommodation. No restaurant. The beach is easy walking distance. There are clubs and such nearby. They did not clean or make-up the room for a 2-night stay. You have to pay just to park on the side of the property. Overall, the cost of the stay is high in consideration for the basic amenities. However, the area is very expensive, so that makes this a bit of a bargain.

My family and I stayed there and had a pleasant stay. We checked in early and they were super nice and understanding to our need to check in early 😁. The pool was nice and clean and the walk to the strip and beach was not bad at all. We enjoyed our stay here.

Me and my kids stayed two nights. Everyone had there own bed and tv needless to say they were all happy which makes me happy. Everyone at the front desk was so helpful. The last day of our trip our Uber canceled last minute and the lady at the front desk was amazing helping us get another one with the guy they use. I am so thankful for that !!

Overall our family stay at the Fortuna was excellent. We stayed 3 days before a cruise,we spent our days either in their pool or at the beach,(2 blocks away).For us 4 adults and 2 young children it was perfect. The only thing is it’s dated but unfortunately that can’t be changed overnight. The staff was phenomenal 11 out of 10. Again was perfect for our needs.
