AC Hotel by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Beach

I stayed with my family but I’m little upset because they charged $47.00 dollar for parking by night plus tax and $25.00 dollar for destination fee plus tax. By day, if you’re already paying the hotel I didn’t understand why you have to pay for destination.

It’s overall a nice property with a good location. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cons - the outdoor pool is a 3’-3’9” pool. That’s the only pool they have. It may be great for small kids but not so much for adults or teens. Also we only had two very small drawers to store our stuff so ended up living out of our luggage. Construction next door was very loud on balcony but didn’t bother us when indoors.

No dresser space for 4. Which was a little inconvenient with two kids. But really got me. Is the constant trickery the hotel usese to rip u off. I book three rooms and was charge distiny fee 75 per day. Ok which was explan. What i dont get u must use the money at the hotel. In which case u are charge a service fee.repackage fee and all kind of taxes. I ended up double tiping the bartender who also serve my meal. I didnt know the other fee was considered tip. On my bill My fault. But why not just say tip. Why have the gratitude line on the bottom if itwas already included.

Hotel fit the needs of a family of four for a quick stay. Close to beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Parking fees was not mentioned whej I booked. Pool was not kids freindly n also pool bar was closed one day due to event taking place. Should be able to open pool for guests too.

The property is brand new and beautiful. Very expensive. The front desk staff aren't that friendly and communication is poor. They give no info about the property what-so-ever upon check-in. Our room wasn't ready so we sat and waited for an hour. They're supposed to call you when your room was ready. After the hour wait, i went back up to check on it. Oh yes, its ready. Never called me. There isn't any vending. They have a small area with chips and drinks but no water. I asked for a bottle of water. She acted annoyed and proceeded to tell me that i should be using the Hydration Station. Well, that would have been something nice to tell people when they check in. We didn't eat there. The breakfast was $10 and didn't have anything my family was interested in. The pool is beautiful and the bartender outside was very friendly and fun to talk to. The elevators need a better set up. The cleaning crew staff are very nice, but they're always in the elevators with cleaning equipment and bins of used towels. Plus, the elevators open up to the basement where the dirty towels ect. are taken too. Not something you want to see when paying $500 a night. The cleaning crew needs their own elevator. Out of the 20 times in the elevator, i would say 17 times the cleaning crew was in there as well. Which makes it very slow to go a few floors. The bathrooms are very nice. Rain showers and regular shower heads are a nice touch. Would I stay there again, probably not.
