Residence Inn by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center

The room was perfect for our family.

I had the privilege of meeting Essence. She is truly a great person to represent Marriott. I told her that she’s famous cause I read her name in most of the positive reviews from Google and other platforms. The hotel had free breakfast which was great for my family and the location is perfectly located to most of all the places you would need. However the room was not thoroughly clean as we had a few group of hair that were collected over time. The kitchen was nicely equipped and clean. There was one day out of our 3 nights stay that we were told hot water would not be able. It was ok since the hours were from 10pm-6am. We just make a few adjustments to our schedule that night. Other than that the staff are very friendly & hotel has a nice security in places. My family and I would definitely go back when we plan another DC trip.

Breakfast was decent, room was clean, walls were thick enough to block out screaming kids. Had to have room key to access any floor, so good for security. Laundry was good.

The hotel was very nice, modern decor, very clean, staff was accommodating. Nothing but nice things to say about this hotel. Just wish the parking situation was better. Valet only for $$$ per night. Street parking only?! We had to drive around hunting for parking. I didn't want to have to do that on vacation. Overall, I highly recommend staying here and my family and I plan to do so again.

Everything i thought was great, until we checked in and was told our room was damaged and now we would have to be split up from my family, kids.. Then we were told by the next day, it would be corrected, we came back later in evening and no room after pilling everything' in one room to move it all back, so after a few days we were finally put into a suite together. Im happy they did accommodate after putting us through so much. The hotel was very clean, and we did like location, easy acess to museums, plenty of places nearby to walk to some nice restaurants. I would stay again, despite our first few days. We also lucked out and found parking lot nearby, cheaper than Valet by half! They have a nice hot breakfast complimentary, would be nice if they changed menu sometime, we were there 8 days, and sometimes i wanted something else. The convenience of your own mini kitchen was great too. Overall we had a great vacation!

Outside of my phone being stolen from the lobby by young kids that didn't even have a room there, it was a great stay.
