Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House

great place to stay with family.

Booked through a booking agency. Room was so small, in back of hallway, had window no light in room from window. There were a group of young kids in next room, running in hall, playing games. Called desk nothing done. We had to ask them ourselves to keep it quiet. Disappointed in room location and size.

First room had a broken tv so they changed our room without hesitation which was nice. We needed tv for our kiddo to keep entertained during our one night stay. Out front of the property we encountered the biggest cockroaches I’ve ever seen in my entire life but never seen any inside. We booked here because of the proximity to the White House and monuments. We felt obligated to use valet parking offered by hotel even though parking was listed as included on Orbitz because parking was impossible to find on our own and hotel staff wasn’t very helpful in that area. So keep that in mind(it’s 64 dollars after tax per day to use their valet) and they don’t tell you where they have parked your car but it’s definitely not at their location because they had to go get and drive my car back to the hotel every time I requested it. Rooftop bar hours are so limited that it’s hardly an amenity and they don’t allow anyone under 21 up there so we weren’t able to use it at all during our stay, it would’ve been nice to be able to take our kiddo up there to let them enjoy the view from above. It wasn’t a bad hotel but would recommend it to people not traveling with children due to amenities being focused on the 21 crowd.

Overall we were happy with the hotel, although we had to change rooms, we initially booked a high floor room and it was incredibly noisy (probably just below the AC/heating room) so at 9pm we had to change rooms (we had 2 children, so not ideal), also I am sure they were fully aware so not sure why they pretended not to know and continue to charge the higher rate. The other downside was breakfast, it was quiet poor with limited choice. Besides that is a nice hotel very conveniently located and the rooms are clean and spacious.

Hyatt Place Washington DC/Whitehouse was absolutely fabulous, The staff did an amazing job (even with our unexpected early arrival)! Perfect for our family of 5

We had a great family time staying here and seeing the museums in Washington. Great Staff, great Breakfast, rooms were large and very clean!

It was decent, rooms were nice , except I thought I was getting a room with a view and instead got a room with a taped up window. I wasn't made aware that parking was an extra fee, didn't say that in the booking.. not to mention they didn't make it known that the hotel is NOT family friendly as there is a strip club next door. It was a good place, clean and friendly but just some unknown things I wish I knew in advance

First time tourists to DC. The property was very convenient to the Metro and all National Mall sites. Of course there was minor city sounds, but we turned the fan on and that quieted all exterior noise. The room was comfortable, bathroom nice, and the hotel felt very secure. The breakfast had a diverse, varied menu daily that was wonderful. We had kids and they were happy. The coffee was my only complaint - really bitter, couple of sugars and cream needed!

Excellent experience at Hotel. My family and I enjoyed ourselves very much. The Manager (had the great experience to meet) and his staff work very hard to provide a good customer experience and they did. Thank you Manager and staff of hotel.

The staff was quite nice, and the room I stayed in was clean. The area the hotel was in was close to many DC attractions. However, the on property restaurant (s) left much to be desired. I could not sit in the rooftop restaurant because I had a child with me, according to someone on staff. And each time I ordered from the downstairs restaurant they had to call then chef from the rooftop restaurant. That was a bit strange.
