Hampton Inn Washington, D.C./White House

We arrived at 3:00pm, assumed our room would be ready for check in. Our room was NOT ready. Luckily, we had other family we could sit in their room. Our room was not ready until 4:16pm. We had a 6:00pm dinner reservation. One of the elevators was not in service. That made getting up and down extra time. The breakfast was nice and the seating was nice as well. The hotel was nice. The beds are VERY comfortable. It was a nice stay for the price, but could have been alot better.

Great location for a great price. Staff were all helpful and friendly. They are pet friendly so we got to bring our fur baby with us and they have the Edward R Murrow park just across the street with a sculpture making it a convenient and interesting spot for her am and pm break. We kept her at a nearby daycare when we wanted to go into the museums. Highly recommend them!

Slickly renovated rooms, with Neo-Mid-Century everything, in an older property in walking distance of the National Mall. The front-desk and valet parking staff were well-informed and always accommodating. Not a luxurious location, but excellent for families and other visitors aiming to visit the White House and Smithsonian Washington.

I had been traveling up the coast staying in various Hampton Inns that were not so nice and was cautious about booking this hotel. Until I read a review from someone that said they only book this hotel. They will rearrange their schedule to be at this location. So I booked. I’m traveling with two kids and needed somewhere I could feel comfortable with my kids, and this was it. The hotel was clean and smelled good. The service was wonderful- starting with the valet. He quickly unloaded my things and whisked them off to the room. The front desk staff were warm and helpful and when a kiddo spilled cereal in the elevator, it was cleaned in minutes. Food was great and the room was lovely. No view - but you can’t have it all. The hotel is conveniently located near metro stops, blocks from the White Hoise and the many treasures in DC. I too would return to this hotel - in fact, I also may even rearrange my schedule just to stay there.
