Started out great for the first 2 nights. Then the A/C went out at 4 am the next morning. We only had one night left. We told the front desk on the way out that morning and they said that it was an old hotel and it happens, even though the halls and lobby had A/C. They said they would look into it and fix it. We were gone all day. When we came back to the hotel it was still 85 degrees in our room. We went to the front desk and they moved us to another room down the hall. It also did not have working A/C. We asked if they could refund us the last night since they were having trouble with the rooms and they said that its was difficult because I went through a 3rd party app. The manager then told me that wouldnt it be easier for her to just move my family to a room with working A/C since all the double bed rooms had no A/C. She said they could upgrade me to a complementary suit with a queen bed and a pull out sofa for my Teen. I declined that offer, as I see no reason to pay for a pull out sofa because the normal double rooms are having issues and again asked for refund for my final night. The manger said they would have to contact the 3rd party, Expedia, to see about issuing a refund. They still charged my credit card for the night I didn't stay in the hotel so. I hope this issue is resolved soon.

Great hotel experience. My only complaint is the restaurant on property isn’t particularly kid friendly.

Some of the staff were lovely, some were blunt and unfriendly. The hotel was immaculate and clean and smelled nice. The room was clean and bedding was nice. The valet was very expensive and I didn't realize parking was not included. Breakfast is also not included, which I thought it was. We ordered mimosas which were 12 dollars, then when we asked to do bottomless mimosas, they said theyd have to charge the 12, then the 15 for bottomless mimosas... they should have mentioned this when I ordered and not after. The food in the restaraunt was pretty good. The microwave is in a dinky closet-like room with an old fashioned ice box. There are no fans in the bathrooms, which seems outdated to me. On the last day of our stay, the AC to the whole entire building went out, so I requested a refund for that day. They gave me a refund for the valet instead, which, surprised me, but the clerk I dealt with was blunt. I expected a refund for the day with no AC, which was more money than I got back. Overall, I give 3.5 stars, because the hotel was nice, but I likely will not be staying there next time. It seemed at every turn, I was being nickel and dimed, which is fine if you have expendable income, but not for me and my family. My rating would be lower if not for the two very kind staff members I encountered during my stay, who made our stay feel more luxurious than some of the others who seemed unhappy to be there. Its a fine place to stay if you are wealthy and dont mind spending money.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay at Hamilton hotel. Staff was nice, walking distance to National Mall. Our room was a little small but comfortable. There isn’t a pool but the gym is nice. The restaurant on site was good!

While booking there was a free breakfast option and declined the this when we checked in . Total disappointment the room is was small and there was no toothpaste or enough trash bags. Not at all rated for 4 Start . Pathetic and no value for the money. I never ever book Hamilton Hotels again. They totally spoiled my DC family trip

Everything about our stay at the Hamilton was perfect. It is beautiful, clean, in a very walkable and safe area close to so much. We took a family member who is terminally ill and wanted to see the our Capital. Thank you Hamilton for making this a memorable trip.

We stayed here for a family vacation. Perfectly located to see all the museums and monuments by walking. Very close to the Metro for more distant explorations. Would stay here again!
