Hampton Inn Dover

Hotel lobby nice. Spacious room, but amenities a little lacking. Had hard time sliding big bathroom door all time to use with family. Carpet needs to be upgraded. Otherwise, pleasant/okay stay

The place was easy to get to. The front desk lady was friendly and nice specially with us coming in so late. Beds were crazy hard…not a fan. The breakfast was fare BUT the women running it was terrible and rude. My some came down about 15 mins till time to close and ended up closing the doors with him and his girlfriend inside to prevent others from entering. It was Mother’s Day and she said she needed to leave to get home to her family. I get it but she still had a job to do. Cleaning staff not professional all. Over all not a fan of this location.

Check in was interesting. We made a reservation for a family of 5. We were there for a wedding. Another party also had a family of five. The hotel stated they had roll out beds we could use for the fifth person. Upon arrival, we were told the hotel had 1 bed for the entire hotel! We got to our room and could barely move around let alone add a roll out bed as it was so small and crowded. We requested a fifth towel again as we had made a reservation for 5. When they cleaned the room they took the towel and we had 2 request 1 again. We had hung all 5 towels up so none of them would be taken and it was still taken! Every single time we left the room our key card had 2 be reprogrammed. When I brought this 2 the staff's attention I was told that all hotels have the same issue and to get over it! The rooms were clean. The breakfast was really good. The location was nice as it was right down the street from Dover downs and had several food places right around it.

The hotel room was clean and efficient for our overnight stay. The people who checked us in were very pleasant and polite. Even the complimentary breakfast was nice and varied. Thank you for providing me with a smoking room, which is not easy to find. I was quite comfortable. The hotel was conveniently located to my family and we had an overall great short vacation.
