Comfort Inn & Suites

We've been to Dover, Delaware, so often that it's unthinkable to stay anywhere else. When we arrive, we're treated like family, but better! The Manager is a hard-working man. Jessica at the front desk is kind and welcoming and Christine and Doris in the kitchen are wonderful! I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We feel bad to have to leave.

Room was big and spacious for a family of 5. My sons only complaint about breakfast was they ran out of apple juice. Housekeeping was amazing with providing fresh towels quickly! Pool area was hot and smelled strongly of chemicals, but to be expected with so many people in and out of the pool. There was a sports tournament in the area so a lot of kid, rowdy too, staff was quick to address issues.

I liked the property but the cleanliness of the property could be better. The kids running through halls was a nuisance and running over our head in their rooms. Loud music next door, floors stayed wet at the elevator, need to put a rug in front of elevator or mop up more. In all my trip was good minus these things.

We were in town because of a family loss. The staff were quite kind and accommodating. The front lobby is quite homey, but the front desk staff were frequently away from the front desk, as just the right times (when I was attempting to ask a question). There are snack machines in the hallway with quite a bit of options, but they were costly. They work in a pinch - despite the hotel being in a great location, with everything within mere steps away, the road itself is pretty dangerous, so you will need to get in the car to go anywhere. The hotel staff also alluded to the area being a higher crime area, but I never didn't feel safe. The room was clean and comfortable. We're early risers and enjoy our coffee first thing. The included breakfast wasn't ready at the time promised, but the wonderful staff person was working alone, so we were patient and it was worth the wait. There are plenty of options to choose from, for a variety of dietary needs and the coffee was GOOD, the conversation was better. I recommend this hotel for a clean, decent place to stay, right on the main highway.
