I would like to open with the positive. Our room was spotless, clean and quiet. The bedding was great and we slept like babies on the mattress. The TV was large. Bathroom was clean. Now on the not so great … We checked in late. The lobby was okay. The dining area I took a peek at for the morning breakfast was not really very clean. Crumbs and dirty table/counter tops were evident. When we entered the elevator, it appeared someone applied white duct to EVERY visible surface except the buttons. Turns out the hotel was under renovation and they were trying to protect the elevator.

My family and I have stayed here many times. Very friendly and helpful staff. Stephanie, the manager of the breakfast service, particularly great. I realize that because of staff shortages there are now more limited housekeeping services, but please either supply fresh towels regularly every day or install more towel racks so you can hang your towels up to dry. Also please supply bigger and at least two waste baskets.

I've stay here many times when visiting family in the area. This hotel is always clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The highway is close and convenient. The rate is always reasonable. Whenever I need to be in the area, this is my first choice.

We ended up checking in and going out to dinner. When we came back to watch tv, the volume was broken and it came out as a whisper. There were people banging against the wall in the adjacent room and a bunch of kids running up and down the hall so we couldn’t hear the tv. When we went to the front desk they said the tv guy wouldn’t be there until Monday and there were no other rooms. When asked if we could just cancel they said no. We got $50 off the room, checked out and drive home.

We had an issue with the drain in the tub. Although they came as soon as we called, the issue was not fully resolved so we needed to wait about 20 minutes between showers which was inconvenient for our family. We probably won't stay there again.

Upon first sight, the hotel does not appear to be modern. The outside façade makes the hotel look older than what is inside. Check-in was an easy process. The elevator moves slowly particularly if it has to make stops before getting to whatever floor you are on. The room was nice, comfortable and appeared up-to-date. I found a used glove on the floor next to the head of the bed (I left it there). The walls are not too thin. I did hear the man next door snoring. Breakfast was less than what I expected. I am a vegetarian so the options were limited to the pre-packaged Belgian waffle, the pre-packaged blueberry muffin and scones. Check-out just as easy as checking in. Overall, it was a nice stay, but due to the location, I may choose to stay at another property closer to family.

Stayed at this hotel to attend a family celebration at Meriden. The room and hallways were clean and spotless. The staff was attentive. The parking lot is busy and people don't look as they are moving in /out of the cars-do drive carefully. At the breakfast room they have two do-it-yourself waffle stations, muffins, bread, milk, cereals, but they don't have scramble eggs. They have a mini fridge in which there is some quiche and frozen English muffins with bacon, cheese and egg. You have to use the microwave to cook them.
