Courtyard by Marriott Norwich

The location of this Courtyard was great for us as it was close to the things that were important to us. The staff was friendly. We did not eat at the restaurant as the breakfast prices seemed very high to me, but not a problem as a Dunkin Donuts was close by. The only issue I had was my room was facing the highway and the noise from the highway was pretty loud one of the nights. A family member was on the other side of the hall and you could not hear a thing. I would stay there again and just ask for a room not facing the highway. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Mateo at the front desk was absolutely amazing and provided me and my family with top notch customer service. However, we had an issue on our last night. I have reached out to the General Manager and have left several messages for him to discuss the matter, but have not heard back to date. This is extremely disappointing customer service for a Marriott hotel.

I booked and paid for Breakfast inclusive rates. During Breakfast there was only one girl taking orders from a long line of guests. I was told that only one person can have complementary breakfast even though I paid for breakfast inclusive rates. I was told, " SIR NO JUICE, NO BAKERY ITEM, NO FRUIT, ONLY ONE ITEM WITH TEA OR COFFEE" My jaw dropped. It was humiliating to hear it with my family among rest of the guests. I decided to pay EXTRA for breakfast even though i purchased Breakfast inclusive rates during my booking. OPTION WERE VERY LIMITED. We were served with 20 minutes gap all four family members. We had to eat at different times. RUINED OUR FAMILY BREAKFAST. MADE US LATE FOR OUR BUSINESS MEETING. FOOD TASTE WAS TERRIBLE. Please don't advertise breakfast inclusive rate on the website if you are not going to honor it. We have options among other hotels and we as customers like honesty. definitely not coming back and not recommending this property. If I do It will be just the room no Breakfast.
