Homewood Suites by Hilton Orange New Haven

King suite was very nice and spacious. Plenty of parking. Pool was not open with no timeframe from front desk. Breakfast was not kid friendly except for cereal

My stove wasn’t working I was not able to cook the food I had brought… they fixed it too late I had to order food to feed my kids, the tv in the room was not working, they couldn’t fix it and couldn’t give me another room because they were sold out

Overall this was a perfect place for a family of 4 with a 3/5 year old to stay. The kitchen in suite was super convenient. The pool was a great benefit.

We have stayed here literally 11 times over the last 4 years. Our family loves animals/pets, however we will not be able to stay again. This is due to a change that allows pets in all the rooms. I have a severe allergy and was shocked that there are no rooms guaranteed pet free. Our room looked immaculate but we could smell the odor of a dog when entering the room. Such a shame as most places keep a floor pet free.

Overall our stay was good. The hotel itself & the room are very nice, clean & spacious. We booked this as a weekend getaway for our anniversary. The entire first day there was kids running up & down the hall way which continued on & off until 1:00am where there were loud kids & adults in the hallway slamming doors going back & forth to their rooms. We noticed there was no seal on the bottom of our door, so it was very loud without the seal to block out sound. We called the front desk & my husband saw the woman he spoke to come up. She didn’t hear anything so she didn’t do anything. It continued on so my husband went down to tell her again & request another room because we couldn’t sleep. So we packed up at 2am to the room directly above us. Which we could still hear the people below us but it was better. The next day still lots of loud adults in the hallway very late at night. It seems because of this hotel being close to Yale that there are a lot of families visiting so I would just keep all of this in mind if you are looking for a quiet weekend. Also although we kept the do not disturb sign on our door for our entire stay, the cleaning staff tried to get into our room every day. Thankfully we had the stop on the door so it couldn’t be fully opened but they still opened our door. I understand doing it once accidentally but to do it every day of our stay was getting really annoying.

Suites with separate rooms were great. Pool was clean and safe - though hot tub was closed for maintenance. Hotel is great for folks with disabilities or other specific needs and kid friendly. Staff were friendly and we would love to return.

The customer service was lackluster at best, poor communication-did not tell us in advance that the incidentals are $150 per room per night if booked through a hotels.com or any other third party, The Jaccuzi did not work and the heated pool did not work the water was cold the children got a bacterial infection on their feet from the pool which was not cleaned.

Very pleased with my stay. Room was clean as well as all areas of hotel, staff very friendly & pleasant, breakfast was awesome plus coffee was excellent which is rare. There's nothing to complain about. Would definitely stay again & refer family & friends!
