Best Western Ptarmigan Lodge

Literally everything you could want in a hotel! You can walk anywhere or drive most places within 10 minutes. Lake Dillion is just a few hundred feet as is the amphitheater. There is an amazing park in walking distance which is important for us as we have a toddler. Also the breakfast here is AWESOME. 10/10 I do recommend!

This was a great stay for our family. Affordable and comfortable. The building is older, which meant the room was on the small side and the bathroom tile was dated, but there was a cute balcony, comfortable beds and modern amenities. Breakfast was great and the location next to the lake was beautiful. The area is quiet and scenic. Everything you need is close or just a short drive away. We would stay here again.

Walls so thin it felt like sleeping in a cardboard box surrounded by other cardboard boxes full of screaming children and stampeding animals. For nearly $200 for one night stay, I was hoping there would be a modicum of quiet. It sounded like we had paid to sleep in the ball pit of a McDonald's play place with how loud and often we would hear neighboring rooms and children wailing as they ran back and forth past our room. The staff did nothing to assist, not even asking the loud guests to respect quiet hours.

This establishment is an absolute jewel. First of all the staff gets an A+ for friendliness, courtesy, and helpfulness. Breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Second, the property is beautiful and carefully maintained. The property is right on the lake so the views Incredible. Also, they understand pets are family. Wonderful stay. We’ll be back!

This was a very quaint little homie hotel right on the water. My fur baby is my baby and they made staying very affordable and easy for us and the multi-use lake track was a favorite for my pup!!! Will definitely stay again

The biggest issue I have is not related to the property but with the staff. I called the night before the trip to inquire about what was provided in the kitchenette and the response from the person on the phone was that she didn't know and that she need to ask her boss. That she had not stayed before in those units. How can someone working at this location respond in this matter? I have little kids and I had to prepare accordingly assuming there was going to be limited kitchen related items to prepare food for my young ones. When we arrived at the property, the same person that answer the phone was at the front desk and she had the same response to a different customer. This is the main issue I have with this hotel. You need to have staff that will assist guests instead of creating problems or complications. Aside from this the place is ok and in a nice area. I could benefit from updates to the carpet and beds, but overall aside from poor competency from staff it was a good place.

Great place to stay with the family for a snowboard trip. Great location, free breakfast.

Outstanding property - family owned and cared for. This place is as neat as a pin - clean and beautiful. The view of Dillon reservoir with the mountains in the background is awesome.

The rooms were nice and clean. I wasn't expecting motel style rooms, but it was nice. The breakfast spread was phenomenal, with lots of alternatives and options. I thought there was a pool, but it was just a big hot tub, not kid friendly.
