Cripple Creek Hospitality House & Travel Park

The history and style of the building are wonderful! We loved that we could walk around and see photos and information from when it was a hospital in the early 1900s. We were event able to peek into some of the unoccupied rooms. We chose to stay in the Maternity ward which has two beds. The décor was lovely. The room was large and extremely clean, beds were comfortable, and front desk staff was very kind with any questions we had. The only thing that was strange, was that the toilet in our room sits in a very small closet, and there is an old radiator touching the entire left side of the toilet. This made for a very tight and awkward space. The radiator was never hot, however it would be more pleasant to have it removed. The shower was a small clawfoot tub, which was beautiful. It sits high, so you need a step stool to get in and out of it, which was very difficult for my mother in her 70s. I highly recommend this as a wonderful and beautiful place to stay. It's just a short drive or shuttle ride down to the casinos. Be sure to check each room to see what would fit best for your family, particular in regards to the bathrooms.

Beautiful facility, staff was so friendly and accomodating. Room was well furnished and comfortable for the most part. The mattress wasn't the greatest. There is no AC but temps didn't warrant it. Windows open and fan provided. Not much in Cripple Creek, very limited food options, especially with kids who can't enter casinos.

We very much enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to friends and family.
