Hilton Garden Inn Colorado Springs Airport

We arrived after driving for many hours and were notified that they only had rooms with one bed in them...I had prepaid and reserved a room with two beds as we were traveling with adult children. They told me that I wouldn't be compensated for the difference in room as we used a 3rd party (Expedia) and the best they could do would be a roll away cot. This was disheartening as we were exhausted and had no other options unless we would have been able to eat the cost and stay elsewhere. The bed spread had stains and the cot brought in was in terrible condition. I was disappointed as I travel often and this chain of hotels are usually very clean and stand behind quality service. I will not be staying here again and I would caution others to do the same.

This is a pleasant hotel close to the airport and also my family in Colorado Springs. I like that it has a restaurant on site.

The hotel was nice and the person at the front desk was very welcoming and showed a great deal of compassion when I explained we were traveling back home for an unexpected death in my family. She even gave me a hug, which really did make me feel better and helped relieved a bit of stress by her demonstrating such kindness to a stranger. I wish I knew her name, I would thank her for being so kind to me.

This hotel is excellent. It is very clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooms have Keurig Coffee makers, microwaves and mini refrigerators. The bed spreads are white. The pillows are down. I slept like a baby on the first night there! There are flat screen TV's with current movie choices to buy and ample cable channels including HGTV!! They have a "store" where you can get snacks, wine (with the prices posted!) and toiletries. Q-tips, cotton rounds, nail files and dental floss, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap are provided in the rooms. The rooms have hair dryers. We did have an issue with house keeping walking into our room when they didn't hear us yell that we were in there. They did not announce who they were. In the gals defense though, I had forgotten to use the Do Not Disturb Sign. The made to order breakfast is not free. It costs $11.95 per person. We opted to eat out. There is complimentary coffee, tea and iced lemon water in the lobby. The hotel does have an indoor pool and hot tub, they are highly chlorinated though, so we didn't use either. Salt water chlorination would be better.
