Hillstone Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection

Great hotel . Just off the freeway, so access was simple. Room was good, nice and modern. Breakfast good, v useful washing facilities and a great pool for the kids to unwind.

Well, the room was nice, bed was comfortable, we found some hair on our towels, our room was on the outside of the hotel, so it was loud, because the freeway is right in front of the hotel, the parking was also shady, we where visiting some family and got back to the room late and there was no parking available so we had to park on the side, also the breakfast was not good at all, the oatmeal was nasty, and the only cereals they had was plain corn flakes and plain Cheerios, plus the breakfast area was really small and crowed when everybody was in there eating even the coffee tasted bad, we only stayed 1night, over all I was not impress by this hotel, would not stay here again. The hotel staff was very nice helpful and chatty, if you passing thru and just need a place to spend the night it’s ok, but if you plan to stay for more than one night I would definitely stay somewhere else, specially further away from the freeway.

Normally my family and I make the trek to and from Vegas to Sf and can do it in a straight shot. Our trip back did not go as planned and it was past 11pm. Enter the Hillstone Inn. Not only was the place just super cute and clean and had a nice lobby, I want to shout out to Ms Renee who is was the most absolute sweetest lady and deserves all the flowers and recognition for her welcoming and warm hospitality. We carried our 4 year old who was sleeping to the room and was surprised at all the well thought out details of the room, from the numerous usb plug outlets, the bathroom and it’s unique towel holder, the modern touches, and even the makeup wash towel with single use makeup cleansing wipe. How cute ! Beds were comfy , i can’t emphasize enough how clean everything was. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into this quaint place and if we are ever in the area again, we will stay. Thanks for giving us a safe place to rest!

The room was clean, My kids had fun on the pool. The breakfast was good.

Got accused of smoking in a non smoking room as if the Ed y didn't ser me walk outside to smoke. All because i left a cigarette on the table was told they do not want my business there anymore. Their floors were black and filthy and they dont clean them at all. Not aloud to tske food into rooms but put a refrigerator in them for just that reason. There wad also snears of poop on the bathroom door crusted on and very gross. Anf Your not allowed to have guests not even children.

Good customer service, clean environment, loved that it was smoke free, pretty comfortable and would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I stayed here 1 night with my family, it was good!

The front desk service that checked us in was very friendly! The room itself smelled a little weird when we first opened it. Kind of like it hasn't been used in awhile. One of our bed was kind of dirty, but front desk was able to give me extra bedsheets to change. Overall, it was a decent stay but could be loud if there's people parking or upstair kids running back and forth.

The room itself is brand-new and immaculate, and the service was excellent too. But, I didn't sleep well at all, due to all the NOISE outside. Every morning at 5:00 am, I was awakened by the LOUD sound of some sort of Public or Private Sector improvement project being conducted. Where I come from, it's illegal to wake people up at 5:00 am every morning, but evidently, such isn't the case in Tulare. Moreover, hotel staff should ensure that customers allow each other to sleep, by not congregating and socializing loudly outside their rooms late at night. You've got to monitor them like children. So, given all of the above noise being generated outside, I didn't sleep well at all, which is BY FAR the most important thing when staying at a hotel, in my opinion.

This place is pretty decent. It’s basically a dressed up motel 6. The rooms were renovated with nice finishings. I didn’t hear anyone through walls which was nice, may not have had anyone next door tho, and was on top floor m. The bed was really soft and I liked it. They have a full breakfast too. Ok the only problem was the room stank of pee. I think it emenated from a cloth chair in the room. Likely a baby, grandma, or a homeless person pee’d on it. A out a sheet over it and smelled better. The cleaning staff really should have caught that. Unless all rooms smell like that. The bathroom exhaust fan goes off after 10-15 minutes, so maybe m. I’m not sure I’d stay here again. It’s affordable and the chain ones are not that great around here. If not for the urine smell I’d say yes.
