Fairfield Inn by Marriott Visalia Sequoia

Other than the rude guest in line in front of me, excellent! The poor front desk clerk had the patience of Jobe. He maintained an air of professionalism even tho the adults wouldn't controll their kids. The stay was great. And the breakfast next morning was good also.

Really nice clean place to stay at a good price. We chose this place because of the enclosed pool and the baby crib amenities, not sure what happened but when we checked in and asked for a crib we were told they don’t have any available. The beds are really high and not safe for a baby who is mobile and crawling to sleep on. It’s hard to travel with little ones especially when the hotel lists items available for guests and doesn’t actually have them upon checking in. Overall it is a nice place to stay. Close to sequoia and central.

I found black stuff on sofa bed looked to be mold. Food and food stain in between the couch. Had to leave i had children with me and they were booked out. Was rude when brought to thier attention

Great customer service, though they did not have tooth brushes available on my tooth paste. My family and I did get stuck in the elevator, there appears to be a short in the buttons that cause the elevator to go into default mode when pressed more then once. The front desk employee stated it was also not accounting for the proper weight restrictions of 2500 lbs. it’s actually half that weight amount. He mentioned a “large family” also got stuck earlier in the day. He was very apologetic. I will stay there again but would like to make sure the elevator is fixed and tooth brushes were available. Also, they did grant a request for a later check out time.

The pool area was great for our small family. The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly. You can tell they take pride in customer service.

My kids were excited to go swimming, Once we arrived to the hotel and ask where the pool was the clerk just said "It's closed", no explanation, no apologies, nothing. It would be great if they can provide information in advance to their customers, so they can decide how important a particular service is for them during the time of reservations.

We made a reservation in this hotel based on their indoor pool, but when we checked in we noticed that the pool was closed. As we reached out to reception to find out what time the pool would open, the receptionist stated the pool has been closed for months and has no estimated time frame when it would open. Our family felt deceived and there was no other accommodation offered in exchanged. My kids were really bored and it ruined our trip. A notice should have been posted on their website.

Overall hotel is OK, unfortunately my kids were really disappointed that the pool was not working. The hotel website makes no mention of this and from what we were told it’s been a while that it has not been working. Had I known we would of booked elsewhere. Too bad Hotels.com did not have correct information.

Check-in was great, we had many questions for Mikayla and the other gentleman (I cannot now recall his name, but he used to camp in Sequoia as a child) - they were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great: greek yogurt, egg-white quiches and protein-biscuits and bacon in addition to severe more options. Location is phenomenal, very tranquil. Room was comfortable, crisp and clean, and super-quiet.
