Careful.. there policy is no refunds on rooms that are booked threw them or third party.. even if family emergency & you can’t make it.. & the front desk clerk Alex is very very rude & no help at all in situations like this.

Truckee Donner Lodge is, without a doubt, the most pleasantly surprising hotel I've ever stayed at. Recommended by a friend, I was initially skeptical about its 3-star rating. However, I was quickly proven wrong. The rooms at Truckee Donner Lodge are incredibly spacious, featuring comfortable desks and sofas, not to mention the convenience of having both a microwave oven and a refrigerator. The daily housekeeping service is impeccable, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment throughout our stay. What truly sets this lodge apart is its complimentary breakfast. The waffles and sausages were a hit with the kids, making our mornings delightful. The hotel also boasts a pool and a cozy space filled with computers, books, magazines, newspapers, and toys for children. It embodies the saying, 'Though small, it has everything one could need.' The front desk staff, especially Alex, were outstanding. Alex was incredibly nice and supportive, catering to almost all our requests with a smile. The lobby's spaciousness, complemented by a comforting fireplace, adds to the lodge's charm. The availability of free drinks in the lobby was the cherry on top. Alex told and guided us everything about the lodge. In my eyes, Truckee Donner Lodge deserves more than a 4-star rating. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay. This lodge isn't just a place to sleep; it's a place that feels like home.

Not great. This is the second time we’ve come to stay and the hot tub is broken. Really disappointing for the kids. The hotel also mops the lobby floors with super intense chemicals. It’s an instant headache when you enter.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and are always happy with the choice. The staff is kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hot breakfast and all day hot drinks are a fantastic perk, especially when traveling with children.

Place was super clean and nice. No hassles from any of the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend d this location for travelers with families. Our room was very big and the pool was great. Open 8 to 10pm which was really cool.

Smooth check in, clean room and 24 hours of hot chocolate which my kids loved.

The pool was closed off and not in use the spa was usable but a-little dirty. We booked that hotel specifically because there was a pool. It was very disappointing for the kids not to be able to swim. Also it’s location to the freeway was a bit noisy. That wasn’t noticeable from the pictures of the facility based on photos.

Room and the overall environment is very clean, but the soundproofing between each room is not good, we keep hearing the noise of the kids next door.

I go with my family with a 7 year old kid. I was assigned to a room next to the front desk. That means it will be noisy. I dont know if thats the last room ir not, but it is hard fir a kid to sleep well because they sleep early. Also, the room's sound isolation is bad, you can hear noises from neighbors, upstairs, and even bathroom. Other thinks are ok. Only noises is not acceptable for ne.
