Great staff and great hotel!!!! The only downside: there were kids running through the hallway at night.

We loved this hotel. It's smack in the middle of the Squaw Valley resort - you step out the front door and you're at the cable car, ski rental shop, lifts, shopping, a dozen restaurants, outdoor fire pits and heaters. Skiers/boarders can leave their gear at the front desk if they want to come back to the hotel for a quick bite or rest. The hotel bar is great - awesome cocktails (try their Manhattan!) The hotel was surprisingly kid-friendly - lots of well behaved kids/babies of all ages. The room was done in Plumpjack's unique decor, very cozy and fun. The only drawback was the restaurant - although the food was good (not great), it was SO loud and the tables, esp. two-tops, were squished together. No privacy at all. Having said that, their daily INCLUDED b-fast buffet was awesome. Try their homemade fresh granola!
