We loved Wine Valley Inn! Our double queen room had a second attached room with twin bunk beds. We didn’t end up needing them, but such a good space for a family. Everything was very clean and the front desk was super nice. Lots of space for clothes in our room, several dressers and wardrobe. Also the ac ran COLD and was turned on for us before our arrival which was great for the heat wave we experienced in Solvang. The breakfast is what you would expect from a hotel breakfast, but strong coffee and great toast. Water refill station was a great touch, too.

Hotel was fine in all the ways. Then, some guests not so fine. i.e.: one guest in brkfst room showed up in pajama bottoms, socks and tank top. Not appealing to appetite and several small loud children.

Upon our arrival the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and easy to talk to. We had never been to Slovang and were only staying for one night but they answered any questions we had about the town. They also did their best to accomodate us having our two rooms near each other. Upon learning that we had an infant with us, they also offered to have a pack n play sent to our room to make it easier for our little one to have a place to sleep which was much appreciated.
You can tell the property is a bit older, it has that old look, and charm to it. The rooms were incredibly spacious and well worth the cost of them. My only complaint about the room itself is that the bed we had just really wasn't comfortable, but that could be a personal preference as everyone else in my travel party felt they were just fine.
The free breakfast was good, and while it was not the best meal you will ever eat, it was no different then a breakfast you would have had at home, we had bacon, egg and cheese omlettes, choice of juices, and some pastries, etc. The usual stuff you see at a free breakfast option.
It is within walking distance of everything you would want to see in Slovang which is nice, and they have a lovely little fire pit you can sit outside next to in the evening as well.

Our stay at the Wine Valley Inn was great for our family vacation! Breakfast was eggs, bacon or sausage, yogurt, cereal, homemade Danish pastries from a local bakery and fresh fruit daily. Our teens used the gym daily. As is Solvang, it was walking distance to everything! About 20 minutes to beaches and 45 to UCSB. Loved it!

It was just okay. The heater in the room didn’t work so it was very cold. Having the fireplace was beautiful and fun for the hour it burned and it helped my kids fall asleep.

Had a really great time with my friends on a couples retreat stayed at the end and the experience was wonderful. The location made it very easy to walk around the city and still be close enough to not have to sacrifice. Comfort would definitely recommend two friends and family and plan on staying again in the future

Overall, this property was a great choice for my family for a weekend stay. The room was clean and comfortable. As well as the surrounding areas. The staff was friendly and accessible. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of options and was delicious. The property was within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at this property. First time was in 2020 in a queen room (though it was nice then, the room we had was super noisy) but this time I booked a king junior suite and it exceeded my expectations! It had a couch on the top split level and king bed on the bottom with two chairs and a fireplace we didn’t use. The room was clean and comfortable. The wall AC unit kept turning on and off then we realized it was on a timer so we turned the timer off and it worked fine. It’s also dog friendly and has super easy and convenient (and free) parking in back or front depending on where your room is. Our room was plenty large for 2 adults and a small dog but we could’ve easily had 2 more adults sleep on the couch bed. They also added snacks and beverages at the in room bar for purchase but was super affordable - though we brought our own snacks. The free breakfast was ok but on par for a 3 star hotel. We stayed 2 nights. The location is central to everything in Solvang as it’s extremely walkable and safe. The hotel was nicer this time around versus 2020. I would like to stay in the cottages next time around but they were sold out this time. We will be back!! Be sure to request a cleaning with the front desk if you stay more than 1 night. We did so upon checkin and they asked for a specific time which was nice. We had them clean it while we were on Lake Cachuma.
