Sonesta Select San Ramon

My first stay here. Loved it! Close to family. Facilities and room were great.

All of the above marked: quiet, safe, easy parking, and conveniently located when in town visiting family. My only disappointment is the vanity sink counter had very limited space to place toiletry bag, shaving kit or cosmetic bag on top. Everything falls into the sink. Room was a little chilly upon arrival and the heater was a little noisy. Beds were very comfortable but couldn’t get comfortable because of the chill in the room. Once the heater was turned on, it helped immensely. Great price for the room!

The room was small but tidy on superficial view. No storage or drawers to out clothes away for a group of 3 - 4. We literally had to put clothes above microwave table and use it as storage. Shower pressure is really low . I travel plenty and even with coffee in a room other hotels i go to have complementary coffee, here you had to lay for a cup of coffee. As for cleaning staff , they do not clean unless you ask a day before. But if you want extra towels or toilet paper some staff seem rude about providing items . Front desk fro nice and Informative. Gym was the only real plus. Would only recommend for a one - 2 nights stay or for a quick night nap if driving. Not recommended for families staying longer then 2 nights .

We got a balcony room as asked for, but no microwave. We were told by front desk personnel that there was a microwave in every room when contacted prior to arrival. Upon arrival, we were told they did not have any available microwaves but that we could come down from the 3rd floor and use the one in the lobby 24/7. I had a handicapped son who could only eat our prepared microwave dinners which made us have to go back and forth to the lobby frequently. For a no smoking facility, our balcony was covered in cigarette ashes on the railings and piles on the flooring. There were cobwebs on the balcony lights and railings that had spiders crawling around in it. There were no cups in the room at all to have water in to take medicine. VERY LIMITED drawer space, so we had to "live out of our suitcases" for the week. There were only the small closet and 2 small drawers to live out of. We were there for a family funeral and keep clothes presentable was difficult.

This turned out to be a well located hotel for our purposes as we were visiting family in Pleasanton, Oakland and Walnut Creek. The room decor was fairly new and the TV was large. The bed was quite comfortable and we enjoyed the sofa as an alternative place to sit. It would have been nice if a breakfast had been offered as is done at other similar hotels. This is close to Bishop Ranch, which is an upscale area. The employee at the desk kindly let us check in an hour early and waived the $20 early check-in fee. We appreciated that and ended up staying two nights instead of one. Access to freeways is excellent.

Disappointed with breakfast got down at 8 to be told that they did not have n e more that muffins n yoghurt as they were waiting on supply which was awful being diabetic n two kids. They advertised happy hour and we went same story ran out of stuff only had wine. Totally disappointed.

Our trip was for a soccer tournament. The hotel was great. It was clean, friendly and in a great location for the kiddos.
