Our family had 4 different rooms and 2 of them had issues with the tv and remote even after changing rooms. One had a remote that wouldn't change the volume and the other had one that wouldn't change the channel on the tv. The ceilings looked to have had water damage. Should have been painted and cleaned up to look better. Upon arrival found out there was a fee to park in the guest parking. Just not very happy with our stay overall.

Room was very clean. View was amazing. The walk to the beach was so so close. My family enjoyed the room and the trip.

My family stayed in the two family rooms. There were enough towels for us, but only two wash cloths for five people in each room. The floors were really filthy. If you didn't wear something on your feet, your feet would be black on the bottoms. Also, being near the beach, I would recommend keeping a broom and dust pan for guest use in each room.

We booked a room for family with kids, so having a room without a view was probably the result of needing a larger room. The amenities were good, a microwave and frig, but the bathroom was not comfortable. There was a tub but we showered. The room says two queens and a twin, which was a pull-out couch type. We didn't pull it out. Overall, it was a good stay.

The Rockaway inn far surpassed all expectations! The room was clean and quiet and the ocean view was incredible! The sound machine provided in the room felt like such a thoughtful touch and made my entire family feel at home because we all use sound machines in our household! The bathroom was well stocked and exceptionally kept. The office staff was also incredibly helpful and had a warm welcoming and overall positive energy! I would recommend this inn to anyone and everyone! We will be staying here again!

The lady at the front desk was very polite and nice. Once we arrived at our room it wasn’t very clean. We were able to get new sheets from the front desk. The people above us made noise all day and all night. It sounded like they were jumping up and down all night. I can understand noise but this was excessive. We asked them to please stop the jumping and they said once the kids went to bed it would get quiet. So around 11 pm it stopped then started back up around 6 am. This went on for our whole trip. We asked to switch rooms but we’re told no that it’s just the flooring.

It was so perfect and clean. The only issue is our window would not open only 3 inches with special locks and we didn’t want to use the A/C since it was only high 60’s but it got hot at night. Wish there was an option when no children present for safety issues.

Really kind and friendly front desk lady checked us in and answered all my questions about kids parks and places to eat. Went out of her way to double check locations/directions for me so I knew where to go and wrote it down. Room was clean and fresh bed sheets, comfortable mattresses. Location was right next to beach. We only did one night and left super early for flight out so did not explore much. They do not do breakfast though, have snacks and drinks for purchase in lobby.

The hotel has done some good upgrades, but still has a few little issues (no cover on the bathroom fan, some tiny cleanliness issues, etc) You can’t beat the location, and it was perfect for a kid to be able to walk to the beach and then back for a rest. There’s tons of walkable eating and coffee nearby as well. The staff were friendly and helpful!
