The Millwood - A Boutique Hotel

This is our go to hotel in San Francisco Bay area! Rooms are clean, neat and one the few hotels that has everyday room service. Free breakfast is good. Look forward to our next visit to see our grandson and family.

This was an ideal place for staying before or after a long flight from SFO airport. Our room was large and comfortable, with all the amenities you expect - microwave, fridge, ironing, coffee/tea. Excellent breakfast included. Good ambience as this is a family-run hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We arrived and requested an early check in at the last minute and we were immediately accomodated! Although early check in/out is never a guarantee. Staff were polite and helpful. The included breakfast was very good and had a lot of different options. Our room was clean and lovely. The only issue we had was that there were children stomping around in the late evening, but this is in no way the management's fault. We will definitely be returning at a later date!

We arrived an hour before check in, so we took the chance to be able to check in rather than have to leave and come back. The receptionist said no problem you can check in but it's gonna cost you $25, I could understand this if the block we were staying in was still being cleaned but hit wasn't. Paid the fee and when we got to the room we notice the wi-fi was not working. Back up to front desk for assistance and basically given a phone number to call. Tried that he couldn't help and said he would call back, waited for over an hour still no call. Back up to reception and only after I pushed back did she agree to call the tech company. 3 hour later and after spending 30mins on the phone with their tech support did it finally work. If you need reliable wi-fi for business, children you might want to look elsewhere. You would have thought they would have waived the early $25 check in after all that, but no $$$ more important than guest satisfaction.

Beautiful hotel, run by the family. Very welcoming and quiet.

Once again we had a great stay at The Millwood! Had a late check in and it was handled expeditiously and we're getting ready for bed with in 15 minutes. Breakfast outstanding, shower excellent and pillows were plush. Have been here several times. Have family in Frisco so we stay here and travel into town. Highly recommended!

The Millwood is convenient to SFO and clean and convenient to restaurants in Millbrae. We have stayed three times this summer and have not been disappointed. I would (and have) recommended to family and friends,

This hotel is so cute and quaint. The room we got is roomy enough for our little family. Will definitely be booking again in the future :)

It was a last minute booking. Couldn’t find a hotel where I wanted to stay for the night. Decided to book the Millwood. It was clean, the bathroom was small but renovated really nice. Loved the different shower heads and the soap/shampoo/conditioner was fully stocked in the big bottles. Not the little ones that most hotels offer. However, the sink was not draining properly. Took a while for the water to go down. Parking lot was small, did not have trouble finding parking on a wed-thurs trip. I did not utilize the free breakfast amenities. I’m not an early morning person so I didn’t get up in time (6-930, I believe). The room walls were thick, because I did not hear any noises from the surrounding rooms. However the next morning, it was quite loud. Because the hallway is small and it’s open space, you can hear people passing by/talking. My one thing was when someone close the door, it sounded like someone slammed the door. Woke me up from my sleep. Overall it was a nice stay for the invite.
