Cavalier Oceanfront Resort

Staff was friendly, restaurant was good, parking available and close, beach was great, fire pits a plus! Used fitness room and spa. Was perfect for our family getaway.

Nice couples get away. I would love to bring the kids back. The beach was so close. The kids would have loved to walk in the beach with the rock and see the elephant seals.

I paid a lot of money for an ocean view so I could just sit n relax n enjoy the view n enjoy the cool weather compared to the 116° back home. The whole afternoon the people next door their kids were running around screaming inside n out in front of my patio ruining my time n then the shrubs in front of my patio was blocking a majority of my view of the ocean. My last stay was amazing the hotel itself is great just the limited view for this particular room then the annoying kids screaming made the trip not worth it

Nice place that is family friendly and love the fire pits & ocean front. Resort is dated and not much to do

It's on the coast so that is nice. The place is pet friendly. Dog's around. Some family members had dogs, we didn't. It was fine. Our room didn't smell at all. Staff was great. We had a great stay. The views from the Kings row rooms were great as well.

Great access to the beach. A definite repeat stay for the family! Restaurant nearby was convenient and very close to Hearst Castle. We loved it!

I’ve stayed her before. I generally like it but it does need a general face lift. The rooms are a 70’s brown and need a fresh coat of paint the rooms are generally nice and I do love that there’s activities for kids(huge checkers and chess board). I also love the little restaurant there. They always do a good job.

This was a last minute trip with family we got two rooms they over booked one and uograded my daughters room the rooms both had a view and thevrooms were ckean and beautiful! I absolutely recommend andcwill be returning

On our way back from LA we decided to add in a tour of the Hearst Castle. Staying at this hotel which was only 5 miles away was the best decision we made. Greeted with a friendly smile and the keys we headed to our room. Large game pieces for Chess, Checkers, and Tic-Tac-Toe were calling our competitive family spirit. After settling in we wandered over to the Sea Lion Visitors Center next door. The guide was helpful in not only telling us about where to watch the sea lions, giving us tips on local places to eat dinner. To our surprise, as we came back to get ready we had a knock at the door and a complimentary bottle of wine was handed to us. After dinner, we headed back under wet weather thinking we would not be able to use the fire pits. Not so, we bundled up with a blanket from the car and a glass of wine and headed down to a roaring blaze that kept us warm. We have decided to come back this summer and reserve one of the rooms with the rocking chairs facing the sunset. Thank you for a lovely night.

It was a nice experience just wish I wasn’t placed next to a family with dogs. went on vacation to get away from my dogs and my kids and ended up being up half the night because of the dogs that were below us. And we got an expensive room. Besides that it was a good experience.
