FogCatcher Inn

The room was cozy and the location was perfect for an our family getaway to the beach! I’d recommend this location.

I love the FogCatcher Inn. I have been staying here with my family since it was first built, and I will stay here again. That said, I am aware of the conveniences which no longer are offered. No daily room maid service. If you want daily cleaning it has to be requested 24 hours in advance. If you want more in room coffee or cups, that requires a trip to the office. The FogCatcher use to offer free breakfasts which was a significant perk--no longer. The management now suggests ordering breakfast from a nearby restaurant named the Cow Tipper. The problem with the Cow Tipper is that they are desperately understaffed. Waits to get service, your food or coffee and pay the bill are ridiculously long. Again, I love this Inn; rooms are comfortable, its quiet, great location and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Our family of four and furry friend enjoyed the hotel with heated pool along moonstone beach and it's boardwalk. Perfect location for a getaway in the cute and wonderful town of Cambria. Room was big and service was helpful, office has some snack, beverage, and amenities to support.

My family and I have stayed here many times in the past. Never really had an issue until this recent trip Upon arrival the woman at check in was rather rude and acted like she didn’t want to be bothered. We found our room and I was very surprised as was my sister at how run down things looked. The ceiling was patch painted with a color that didn’t match. There were stains on our bed spreads. No lights in light above the sink in bathroom and the tv remote didn’t work!! When I went to call the front desk about these issues, the phone didn’t work!!! This place needs major work and updating. We will be staying at one of the many other hotels on Moonstone beach from now on😩. It was a big disappointment.

The view of the ocean from my front door was spectacular. I couldn’t get enough of it. The hotel staff were awesome. The pool area was decent. I wish they had more outdoor fireplace areas for more guests to enjoy. One family monopolized the one outdoor fire pit. The rooms do need a/c units. That’s a downfall for me. And, the rooms smell moldy. There was a smell my entire family couldn’t shake off. We smelled it every time we went into our rooms. I also wish they had a laundry mat for guests. But, Overall it was a nice hotel.

We have stayed at this property several times and we love everything about it. The beds are super comfortable, the breakfast is hot and delicious, the rooms are clean and quiet. Three generations of our family have stayed there together and all of us are happy and comfortable. I will go back for sure.
