La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham San Luis Obispo Downtown

Stayed with the family and we enjoyed it. The beds were just OK to me but my husband complained that his back hurt so much. I don’t really expect too much from hotel beds though. The staff were great. Carmen greeted us with a warm welcome and offered us water. The room we had was on the 2nd floor which is the “lowest level” and where the free breakfast is held. They offered waffles and pancakes everyday we were there. Food was good. The food staff were all nice and helpful and tried to maintain an organized line for the waffles which I appreciated. We kept 2 bikes with them and they kept them nice and safe. They have a texting service if you want to get a hold of the front desk - super convenient! I loved how the fridge was located in the closet. I was able to put our snacks in the area where they typically would put the fridge. Restaurant right next door. Close to Avila Beach, Madonna, Pismo Beach. Wonderful stay with kids!

Had a great time at La Quinta Inn & Suites, San Luis Obispo. Staff was friendly. The included breakfast was great. Hot food like scrambled eggs, sausage, with pancake and waffle maker, yogurt etc. Unlike continental breakfasts as your typical place. Nice gym, pool, and parking. Pet and kid friendly place. Room was clean and a/c works great. My family had wonderful experience.

This was a beautiul property. Great location. Modern. enjoyed the small roof top pool and free breakfast. Only thing that could have been improved was a mini fridge in the room. We travel often with a child with allergies so we but food at a grocery store and had never had a hotel room with no mini fridge?

Good parking, clean spot to crash for a one nighter with family.

Wonderful clean hotel close to Cal Poly! Wish I had found this hotel sooner that my kids last two years at Cal Poly. I highly recommend it!

Overall a good property conveniently located near Cal Poly and walkable to downtown SLO. Recently renovated and fairly modern for this area. The free breakfast included is ok for the kids but likely not going to leave you satisfied. Good value. Gym is lacking but you get what you pay for with this type of property. Front desk staff could be friendlier.

The hotel is nice and brand new. Check-in was overstimulating. There was a lot going on; lots of loud kids, not a parent in sight and I cod barely here the guy at the front desk. Rooms ar clean but the rooms have no carpet, so cold floors, and bathroom amenities were cheap.

Our room was great, and the staff that checked us in were awesome! The “family” on the floor above us, though, sounded like they had a few young kids, and their parents let them run back and forth across the room above, or they’d cannon-ball off the bed. These were definitely inconsiderate kids running around, and they shook the room like a herd of elephants, so sleeping in after our New Years Eve outing was not an option. That’s the only negative! Maybe just put families on the lowest floor.

I liked that the La Quinta Hotel was modern and clean. For the most part it was quiet, however, there were noisy neighbors on the floor that my family and I. I also wanted to point out that there were two things I didn’t like about the stay. One was being charged $15.00 for parking and the other thing was that the mattresses on the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

Perfect for families visiting their kids at Cal Poly SLO.
