Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel

The hotel is easy to get to, the rooms are large and clean and there is plenty of parking. The front desk clerks were helpful and responsive. All the updates are gorgeous. We Had a room on the 4th floor so that we would not have anyone walking/stomping above us, but the walls are not well insulated and we could hear the children running down the halls and talking in the room next to us. Was woken up when the people on the other side entered and when they left.

We love staying at the Best Western. Every trip down to San Diego we stay there. It’s close to everything. 11 min drive to the zoo/balboa park, 10 min to gas lamp, Midway. It’s very clean, free parking. My kids love the pool and spa. We will definitely stay there again. The staff is also very friendly and helpful with everything.

Great place to stay with our dogs. Super convenient for visiting family in San Diego, beaches and Tijuana.

I stayed here for 2 nights and I will definitely consider staying here again. I traveled with my two kids and wife for a wedding and we loved this hotel. I highly recommend this place. Everyone was friendly the room was clean and modern. The free hot chocolate for the kids was a plus. Also, the restaurant across the street from the hotel was excellent.

The front desk staff, especially Daniel Chvong, are so friendly. The coffee machine has lots of options. Love the smell in the lobby as you walk in. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. We enjoyed our stay to the max. Thank you, and please keep up the good work.

The hotel was fine. It was near nothing and really in the middle of nowhere. The shower dripped the entire night which kept us awake, and the walls were paper thin so we heard our neighbors at all hours. One of our children was on the fold out couch and it squeaked everytime he breathed. We tried to go into the jacuzzi but the water was murky, and we tried to get coffee in the morning but they were out of cream and milk. All in all, we would definitely not choose to stay there again.

Choosing the Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel for our family trip to see our sailor son was a hit. Right off the bat, the staff at the front desk were stars. They offered to stash our bags so we could dive into sightseeing while they got our room ready—super helpful. The room? Spotless. It’s always a win when you walk into a clean, comfortable space, especially with the family in tow. It made the whole stay relaxing and just easy. Honestly, the standout was how the hotel made our visit smooth and enjoyable. It’s in a great spot, and the team there couldn’t have been more accommodating. Needed anything? They were on it. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re in town visiting family in the service. It’s those little touches and the attentive service that make a big difference. Can’t wait for our next trip back.

Rooms were nice and the pool area was perfect for my family. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs no matter how minimal they were.
