Hotel Marisol Coronado

The staff was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the nice breakfast choices and used the garden sitting area twice to visit with family. The room was comfortable, clean and pleasantly decorated. We’ve found our hotel when in Coronado!

I was very excited to stay at this hotel for a small family vacation that I had planned to celebrate my father's recent retirement. I booked 4 rooms, 2 suites and 2 king rooms for our party of 9 people for 3 nights each. The good things about the hotel is the location as expected, and also the rooms were nicely appointed. The DETRACTIONS of the hotel was the SERVICE. Leah at the front desk was there every morning of our stay and she was not that friendly with small requests that we had. When we asked her about bikes or getting beach towels, she always seemed that it was an inconvenience to accommodate. Also the breakfast is average. The yogurt tastes awful. The regular croissants are not fresh, probably from Costco. The fruits salad tasted old some days. The breakfast pastries are from a local bakery and were the only thing that was good. On Sunday morning, our day to check out the vacuuming from the housekeeper started at 8am, right next door to us. And last thing is that when we requested a late check out at 11:30 for two of our rooms (check out is 11am) they would not accommodate at all. We gave the hotel $4,500 worth of business for the weekend and they could not accommodate an extra 30 mins. The way Leah handled it was upsetting, she did not show sincerity in her regret to accommodate. I could not wait to leave the hotel because I FELT VERY UNWELCOMED. I do not give very poor reviews often, but we were very disappointed.
