Stayed here for the 4th of July.I was assigned a room I did not select when making my reservation for King with Bay view. I was given a room with a pool view. The pool was literally directly in front of my room. No privacy at all. It was like having a play ground as an extension to my Balcony. My trip was literally ruined. All I could say is I hate this room. I told the gentleman no swimming pool when I checked in. And what did I get? And then the hotel staff claimed there was no place to move me. I normally travel to adult only resorts or I travel when kids are in school. My husband and I are Retired. Raised kids and grandkids. I don’t want to spend $1875 for 2 days and not get the room I reserve.

Paid for 2 second story Coronado Bay front view rooms. My niece's family arrived the day before and the Marriott hotel put them in a ground level room with the view of the back of the swimming pool bar building. NO VIEW except a WALL!!! We landed the next day at noon, turned on my phone to discover they gave away our room and moved us to the Sheraton Hotel downtown San Diego (AKA: Homeless Resort). Hotels.com was able to refund our $1,400+ room fee. Marriott staff tried to blame Hotels.com

This place was great (and I LOVED the flamingos!!!). The pool area and restaurant were particularly lovely. The only complaint is the rooms felt a little disappointing vs. the pictures - it didn't feel quite so fresh or clean as I thought it would for the price. Not sure how to explain it - the rest of the hotel felt updated and wonderful except for the rooms. The beds in the rooms felt clean, but the carpets and overall 'vibe' of the rooms was dingier than I expected for the price. I would still recommend it if you are focused on the pool and location and the fact that it is a dog friendly hotel (which is SOOO fun and awesome, especially for pet owners!). Just might not be my first choice if I'm not traveling with a family.

We booked a 1 night stay and enjoyed the free bike rentals & pickleball court access. It was the night of the holiday boat parade so we were able to watch all of the festive boats sail by right from our balcony. It was really a memorable holiday stay for our family!

Old style rooms and dingy, carpet was kind of nasty. The bathroom was large though and OK, but still from the 90s. You can’t change the AC SP and can’t open the balcony door on the 1st floor. A small children type resort.

It is great for a family, easy to walk to restaurants, easy self-parking, friendly staff, clean, pretty grounds. The only complaint I had was that I asked for a late check-out but it was not communicated to cleaning staff and they cleaned my room early, removing my personal items and throwing away food we had in the fridge. When I mentioned to the front desk they did apply a credit to my account for the mistake. The rates are also astronomical for the 4th of July when I stayed but so is everywhere else on the island.

Unfortunately for a family vacation we were disappointed, the sofa sleeper was broken so my son had to sleep on the floor. Called multiples times to fix with no response. Only that someone would come to see it. Vote allows pets & on multiple occasions saw guests allow there pets to urinate on walkways. Restaurant on premises was subpar, had dinner ordered steak and taste like it had been precooked than microwave and had a grayish color to it.

Stayed for the weekend for a little family staycation. First, they put us in a different room than we originally booked, then they couldn’t move us because they were full. Next the pullout sofa for our daughter (we were supposed to have two beds, but instead got this) was such a terrible mattress that we had to request a rollaway. The springs were literally entirely palpable. Then the tv didn’t work. Also, they charge a fee for pool towels, which was a first for us in San Diego! I felt like they do not notify you of this possibility and hope you don’t notice it on the bill. Lastly, we requested a late checkout and they insisted they could not accommodate because they were full. I thought this was odd since I was able to check on hotels.com for that night and there were numerous rooms of the same type available that night! All of this and each time the front desk was less than pleasant or caring, and never once smiled. We travel quite a bit, and for these room rates are used to a much higher level of customer service. Would not stay here again nor send friends or family to stay here.

45$ per day for parking, spa was closed, didn’t have the room I reserved with the correct amount of beds, kids forced to sleep on pull out couch and fold up bed.
