We had a remarkable family reunion at The Westin Sacramento, meeting a sibling for the first time. The setting was stunning, and the restaurant's cuisine was exceptional. The staff made our stay even more delightful with their friendly service. While we appreciated the spacious front desk lounge area, we noticed the absence of TVs, limiting communal spaces for families with children to relax outside the restaurant. Despite this, our overall experience was wonderful, making our gathering truly memorable.

We have stayed at this property previously and specifically booked again because the location on the river with the walking path, and the year-round heated pool. We have kids and dogs so these amenities are important. When we arrived, we were informed that the levy is under construction, closing off the entire riverfront area. They claimed it's communicated on their website, which I had visited prior to our stay, but I have yet to find the notification. There was no option for self-parking and valet was $45 for the night. The heater for the pool was broken so the kids also weren't able to swim. The receptionist was unapologetic and since our room was non-refundable, we had to stay.

When visiting family in the Sacramento area, the Westin is always our top choice. I must say, the renovation AND city construction obstructing views and taking up space was not ideal, BUT the hotel did a great job accommodating their guests. I didn’t really hear too much construction from my room. I wasn’t placed in a renovated room either so I am looking forward to seeing the changes next time I visit. My six year old son and myself enjoyed the hot tub and dinner at Scott’s ….Both a hop and skip away from our room. By the way, it should also be noted that the restaurant is amazing at accommodating severe food allergies. I know how difficult it is to find dining experiences that actually understand food allergies and felt completely comfortable eating there. All in all, great spot! I gave it 4 out of 5 stars simply because it is has nothing else to offer right now with views obstructed and all the perks of making it 5/5 like it typically is.

This was a brief 2 day stay, to visit family over Thanksgiving. The staff are both kind and professional. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The highlight for us was the proximity to Scott's Seafood restaurant (on site), which offers a fantastic menu of superbly prepared food. We had one dinner and one breakfast there, both excellent. We highly recommend a stay at the Westin Sacramento, and will return in the future!

The pool was so cold my kids couldn't even use it for more than 30 minutes after a lot of effort of trying to get in. The construction along the riverfront has a giant wall that blocks any view of the river and the reason for staying here is pretty much gone. While they have plenty of parking in their private lot they still only allow valet and charge $45 a day. This location is not near anything but apartments so not sure why they charge this. So the view is gone, nothing within walking distance, and very expensive parking leaves me not wanting to come back. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early so none of this is their fault.

No view of the river when walking around. The noise level on Monday due to the construction going on made it impossible to relax by the pool or hot tub. I really hope I wasn't charged extra for these "amenities" because there were none. Actually, I was charged. The parking situation was a nightmare because of the $45 per night charge to park. So, I was charged for amenities that I didn't get, then on top of that, $45 to park overnight. REALLY! $45 to park overnight! What is wrong here! It was my birthday and decided to have lunch at Scotts. Everyone should know that there is no view of the river while dining at Scotts. There is some sort of 10 foot wall that is in place because of the construction. I always stayed at the Westin and had lunch or dinner at Scotts with family around June 18, my birthday. The pandemic stopped this tradition. This year I wanted to start going back again for my birthday, however, to be charged so much for the room, for the "amenities", for $45 parking, I need to ask the Westin: "Why?" Not only my birthday, I talked to several fathers, because it was also Father's Day, and all were disappointed.

OMG the room was beautiful. The shower amazing. But baby the bed outstanding and comfortable. I didn’t feel my husband and he couldn’t feel me.
