Fairfield Inn by Marriott Sacramento Cal Expo

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to the State Fair, our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk agents were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give this hotel 5 stars is due to the breakfast crew clearing out the breakfast before the time we were told. Upon check-in and their website it stated that breakfast ends at 9:30 but they started clearing it out at 8:55 and by 9:05 it was over, I couldn't even get any juice to drink due to the machine being turned off. My kids wanted to get some boiled eggs and fruit once they poured their cereal but they were taken away before they had a chance to. Our overall stay was nice, pleasant, and clean our only issue was that we were not able to enjoy the breakfast. I do recommend staying here if you are in the area but definitely come to breakfast early so that you can get some food.

We came here on a family vacation with the children and enjoyed it a lot. We appreciate that there were some gluten-free options at the breakfast in the hotel.

The bed was comfortable and everything seemed clean. There was plenty of room for putting clothes away. The breakfast was really good, with lots of choices whether you want to eat healthy or need kid friendly. The heater didn't want to come on, and there was no microwave in the room. It would have been handy if there were usb plug ins on the bedside tables or the desk. Overall it was a great stay.

Our checking in was great service even when husband left his key and got locked out. Front desk did a great job to call up to room to confirm and allow him up to our room. The facility itself was very clean and not dirty. On the other hand our room was terrible. Both the room and the bathroom were very small. The bathroom door had to be propped open with the garabage can in the room just to stay open. For closet space they have a two door chest closet that wasn't secured to the wall and the doors kept opening by themselve constantly. If any kids were to pull on those doors the whole closet chest would just fall foward and seriuisly get hurt. Room not kid friendly also because windows are able to fully open with a screen that was ripped in the corner being on the third floor of the facility. When using the refrigerator it kept tilting forward. The bed itself was the only good thing in the room. The free breakfast wasn't bad but not that great. For the price of the services they need to do some major upgrading. My husband has stayed at different hotels throughout the state. For the price of this place it's hands down by far not worth it. It felt like we were staying at a motel 6.

Staff gave excellent service and were very hospitable making us feel welcome. The rooms are clean, basic and were perfect for a one night stay with our dog while visiting family.

Very friendly, smooth, my family and I were tired. Front desk made our check in quick and she was patient.

Great place to stay! Pool was perfect for the kids, rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was very tasty!

I stayed here to visit family and this location is both convenient and comfortable. It’s located both away and close to arden commercial areas so there’s no heavy traffic. I appreciate the staff and facilities - very friendly and accommodating. The room is a bit older but it’s still has the amenities offered and is very clean. I would visit again and stay here next time.
